Im drinking and takeing my vits! I know why im overeating i just need to know how to make myself stop all this grazing !!! Food is all im thinking about this week!!! I need a good chewing out again to get me back on track!!! And yes i know that this is nothing compaired to what i ate before surgery but I dont think i should be snacking all day long those cals can add up in a hurry!! SO please bring on the flames, as my feelings dont get hurt it helps me!!

Hey Dawn.
You're learning that overeating makes you sick. Yeah, that's familiar. I can never tell when I'm full , and when it happens, its usually two bites after I done GOT full and I get sick. Can't tell you a whole lot, besides maybe measuring the meals, use a kitchen scale like Christine maybe?
It's tough to deal with the first few months. You'll get the hang of it.
I am declining to post what I ate today ( since I haven't eaten anything yet, been too darn busy and now I'm just tired and feel like *#@%*#$ and don't feel like even looking for food. So I'm having my 2nd protein shake today and I'm about to head to bed.
On the bright side, Caitlin's had her follow up to the ER visit today and she's doing just fine. Nothing's infected and her little toe's still attached to her foot ( no thanks to u-know-who hehehe just kiddin' girl !! )
And while being on this subject.. you ladies who had surgery at Keesler, you think the doctors are cute on the gastro-team, errrr.... you ain't been to the pediatrics clinic
HAHA I wonder how much of this seeps thru from the board to that department
Anyways, I'll give you a holler this weekend, I'm just ready to get this week over with.
OHHH .. if you're thinking you are eating too much.. how about actually counting the calories and maybe that'll help? I did it for a few months and it helped me figure out about how much of what I can have and what I'd have to sacrifice for making a not-so-smart choice ( pizza or burger )
As long as youre losing though.. don't get all paranoid. Girl, you and Sara ate like birds yesterday at the restaurant, them folks were probably wondering what the heck we even ordered food for LOL

yes grazing is a bad thing but you didn't do too bad.
I couldn't flame you knowing what you are going through.
I am a bad emotional eater and it is a very hard habit to break
I have yet to do it. Hang in there and it will get better. Just try
when you notice what your doing to correct it as soon as you can.
Here's what I ate
b-protein shake with unjury
l- 2 grilled chicken tenderloins,1 piece garlic bread
s-slice of cheese
supper-homemade pizza on a slice of bread
Thats it but I'm sure I'll have snack before bed.

Two months is when I started
too.. If my pouch did not like something, it threw it right back up. That could be what is happening to you, or it could just be that you are overeating. Your body has adjusted to what has happened to you just enough to get rid of greasy, doughy types of foods if it does not like the way they feel. I used to eat and it felt good going down but when I quit eating, it would rumble and rumble and then hurt and then I would throw it up. It does not happen as often now. So it does get better!
As for what I have eaten today:
B- Strawberry muffin (BAD!) I don't usually do that, but they were irresistable, I cooked them for my son on his first day of school
S- Power Crunch Bar
L- Subway Salad - Lettuce, Onions, Sweet Onion Teriyaki Chicken with the Sweet Onion Sauce (YUM)
D- Chili's - Ribeye Steak (5 bites), Sauteed Mushrooms & Onions, 1/2 ear of Sweet Corn on the Cob
So Far, 485 Calories, 50 Carbs, 35 Protein ( I will eat a protein bar before bed to get my protein up!)

B one egg omelet
S light snack mix

steamed broccoli and cauliflower
ketchup
S protein bar
D homemade light red beans and rice
Dessert sf ice cream topped with bite of banana 1/2 sf cookie and homemade sugar free fudge sauce (about 1/2 cup total)

Really stressful day for me so I chewed lots of sugar free bubble gum and ice breaker sf mints. That at least kept me from snacking.
Well, I need to subtract something from my meals today. I threw every single last drop of my sf ice cream dessert up. Don't know why. I measured everything so I didn't overeat. Only thing I can figure is the milk in the ice cream got me. It does that from time to time. I threw up three dad blasted times until every bit of it was up. Oh, well, I guess that is that many calories I did not get LOL. Just goes to show even at almost 19 months out, the pouch is still the boss. All right!!!

B-7:45: Beef and Cheese Slim Jim and 3 Cheeze Ums Pringles
L- 12:00: 1/2 Quiznos Chicken Sand and bag of Sun CHips - guess that half of that sandwich was about 350 cals..
S - 2:00: SB Protein Bar
S - 3:00: 2 Jolly Ranchers
D - 5:15: 1/4 of leftover Quiznos sand and bag of Dill pickle chips
Another Dinner: couple bites of left over Red Beans and rice and squash.
I am almost positive everything is calculated correctly. If anything is wrong its the guesstimating on the Quiznos sub. PS -- I made them weigh this for me and tell me the ounces.
Total Cals: 1402 (Yikes... but I worked out)
S: a banana
B: 1 package of instant grits with 2 slices of cheese thrown in....
L: 1/4 cup of marconi and cheese with canadian bacon and broccoli cooked in and 1 very, very small clementine
S: 1/2 turkey burger with a dab of mayo, mustard, ketchup, onion and tomato (Polly ate most of the turkey burger....I ate the bread (40 cal per slice) and the condiments and onion and tomato) also a small handful of cheese puffed corn
S: 1/2 cup no sugar added cherry vanilla Blue Bunny Ice Cream.
Seems like something else, but I don't remember....didn't drink enough, tho....
I forgot to kick you in the booty!!!!! But I don't think you did too bad. When I have a snackish day I try to eat good healthy stuff - mainly lots of salad and fruit. So I think you did good even with the enchilda, but since you threw it up......it doesn't count!!!! So I guess I'll save my can of whup a$$ until Sybil steps out of line again!
