Dear Amy I also didn't make the meeting, although mine was because my car decided to play possum. You being only 6 days post op, it's understandable that you can't drive yourself. I'm in the same boat as you are, up till last month we lived in Pascagoula and I could never make meetings either due to me working late and/or living like 40 minutes away from Keesler. I hear ya on the price of gasoline too. You can imagine what I was dealin' with last year when I was a new postie, my post op appointments to see my surgeon, having to drive all the way to New Orleans, weekly, biweekly, monthly. Ugh! Living where we are now, it should be much easier for me to go, once September comes around and Dawn will be my neighbor, I vow to go regularly ( she'll drag me by the hair if I try to avoid it, I swear ) Take care of yourself, don't overdo it, heal well and we'll see u next month , hon ! ~Andie~

Hey, Gene I was not involved in all that went on, but on here outburst do happen from time to time. This surgery is he** on the emotions and the waiting to have surgery is hard too. Sometimes things build up and something gets taken the wrong way and bam before you know it an all out brawl is happening in writing. But the good thing I have found here is that like family we forgive and forget and move on. So I do hope that Amy will continue to come on here to get and to give support to others. She has replied to me with some sweet things in the past. So I hope she will not leave. Support is so important with this surgery. We all needed the surgery because we had control problems with food. I could not be where I am without the support I have obtained from here and from my local group. Good luck, Amy. You are doing so well with getting the protein and liquids in it sounds like. So keep it up and I do hope you will keep us posted on your progress. And if you have questions or concerns or just need anything I hope you will post and ask. Melissa Taylor

I was only trying to help. I did not mean to offend her and if my first post caused all of this nonsense, I sincerely apologize to everyone involved. There have been so many times that I have met people preop at our meetings then once they have there surgery they do not come back, I was just stating how important that they are in a persons success. I was not taking a jab at Amy or anyone else for that matter. Obviously I missed a bunch of posts that were pulled, but I do believe that everyone was trying to help in the beginning and then it was taken offensively and everything got screwed up. We are all in the same boat and we all need all the help we can get! This site is for support and that is what I was trying to give.. Amy, I look forward to meeting you at the August Support Group and I hope that you have no hard feelings toward me. Rhonda
