Anyone's surgery done at keelser?

HI CONNIE ,I ALSO HAD MY SURGERY AT KEESLER 2 WEEKS AGO TOMORRW . IF YOU DO HAVE YOURS THERE YOU WILL BE IN GOOD HANDS . IF YOU ASK DIFF PEOPLE THEY WILL STAY THERE DR IS BETTER LOL DAWN . BUT THEY ARE ALL GREAT DR. JENKINS DID MINE AND HE IS GREAT BUT LIKE I SAID THEY ARE ALL GREAT . YOU WOULD BE LUCKY TO HAVE ANYONE OF THEM ... I TO HOPE TO MEET YOU AT THE MEETING TOMORROW .. SARA

Thank you all for your replies!!! I will be at the support group meeting tonight. I have lots of questions, as I am excited and nervous. I get worried with drastic changes. I am not a real "change" person. My mom had WLS in November, and she encourages me to, also. She says that she wishes it would have been around or more popular when she was 30. She said she would not hesitate. Like I said, they put her throught alot of testing, and her Dr. was VERY strict, and not afraid to say anyone who does it differently are just putting their pts lives in danger. So that is where her concern comes from. Ok, one more question. How long were you out of work? Lisa said about 2 weeks, and the Resident (Dr. Putty) said as soon as one. I am a nurse, and just started a new job, and we are very short handed... so I don't want to leave them in a bind, and I don't have a lot of time on the books. I guess the reason I am so overwhelmed right now, is because I was thinking I would have this surgery in March, or sometime around there... Then I go in... just basically for info... and find out I can have this done NEXT month... I have alot of praying to do, to ensure this is for me... and alot of talking to do with DH. Connie, I also had my surgery done at Keesler on March 1, 2005. I am very pleased with the bariatric doctors and their staff. Lisa is awesome and can answer any questions that you may need answered. I had a few complications as you are welcome to read on my profile but nothing major. I am almost five months post op and I feel better than I have felt in over ten years. I have lost 83 pounds and have went from a size 20/22 to a size 12 in less than five months. I could not be more pleased with my results. I will be at the meeting tonight, I hope to see you there.
