Hey Kimberly, Glad your doing better. Like Dawn I had not heard that you had any problems. Hope all is well or at least getting there. Enjoy the time to heal without the babies under foot. As much as they are loved, I'm sure that it's better for you in the long run. Your in my prayers & keep doing what the doc tells ya to do. And try to remember "It does get better everyday". At least that's what I hear & I'm counting on that thought to get me through this as well. Tammy

Kimberly: I'm so glad you're safe and sound. I - like the others - had no idea you'd had all that trouble. Thank God He got you through it! From experience now, it is almost impossible to get all your liquids in from the start. But, they'll eventually go down a lot easier. Just sip, sip, sip all day. I made sure at first that I got in 2 oz every 30 minutes. Just give it time - it does get better! I can say that now that I'm six weeks postop as of today. I had my first burst of energy Saturday and it went right through yesterday. Can't wait to see what today brings. You've got a lot to look forward to. Hang in there! Rebecca

Hey Kimberly, I am so glad that you have joined us on the Losing side of life! I am sorry to hear that you had problems, I can tell you from experience, that for a few weeks you will be asking yourself why you put yourself through this, but once you are a few months out you will be thankful that you did. I was very sick in the beginning and thought I had made a big mistake. But here I am almost five months post op and down 82 pounds, I am only 33 pounds from my goal weight and feel better than I have in 10 or more years! Be sure to follow your doctors orders and don't lift on anything, your body needs to heal. Take it easy and if you need anything including advice, shoot me an email, I will be glad to help. Rhonda Lap RNY 03/01/05 240/158/125 82 down and 33 to go!

Rhonda, Thanks! I remember how sick you were in the beginning. I haven't had any of that so far. I'm afraid to try pureed meats. I had my appointment yesterday and the doc said I'm doing so well that I could step up to the next level, which is pureed - but I've heard that's when people start having some problems and I'm scared to do it! How crazy is that? Perhaps I'll get the courage in a few days. HUGS Kimberly
