I finally have a consult date...
I have the BEST husband in the entire world! He decided he would try to call the surgeons here in Jackson and see if he could get anywhere closer than I did when I called them. He finally called Dr. Carroll's office and explained my situation, and that I will be going through Vocational Rehabilitation. They told him that Dr. Carroll doesn't really do VR patients anymore (which is what I was told). After a few more minutes of talking, Danny had persuaded her to take me as a VR patient. I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET WITH DR. CARROLL ON FEBRUARY 6TH. I am so excited, it seems like things are finally going to work out after all, thanks to my wonderful husband! I have been reading the reviews for Dr. Carroll and I just realized that Dr. Carroll's wife, Dr. Heath, is the surgeon that took my gallbladder out two years ago - what a small world!
Marci I'm so happy for you! I know you are excited. It feels so good to have something to look forward to like a consult and stuff. You don't feel like your treading water anymore but actually doing something to reach your goal of a surgery date. That's one heck of a hubby you got. Hope you made him breakfast in bed!

Thanks Keli!
You are so right - it definately gives you something to look forward to.... It seemed like everytime one door would open, two more would close! At least now I have my foot in the door! My husband says I "owe" him big time now!
Thanks for all the encouragement and kind words!
You guys are the BEST!

It is so awsome... Thanks for your support, by the way, how are you feeling? Glad you made it back home and you did not have any complications. You are a very STRONG woman to go way off like that to have your surgery... I am so glad everything worked out for you! I really enjoyed reading the post about the t-shirt you bought at the flea market. I was crying HAPPY tears for you too!
Thanks Again!
Marci
