Exercise question???
Hello everyone,
I would like to know how some of you are starting out exercising--are you walking, riding a bike, or treadmill. It is so hot outside I am scared I will dehydrate because I can barely get in all my fluids in a day. I need some help. Also I have lost 45 lbs in 6 weeks and I am feeling much better. I need some feedback. I am thinking about buying a bike, but I am afraid the tires will explode when i get on.
Thanks,
Nan
Hey Nan,
I live in Laurel. On hot days I plan to walk at Indian Springs Baptist Church Gym. On pretty days, I am going to start walking at West Jones Elem. Right now, I am walking up and down my drive-way because i can not walk for very long. If you would like to be walking and later on biking buddies, I need a partner or small group to exercise with around 6:00p.m.

Look for a place that has water aerobics, that is fun and cool in the hot weather. It is a very good work out but not to strenuous on your body like some other aerobics are. Walking in a gym that is airconditioned would work good to.
Best of Luck!

Hi Nan,
I'm glad you made it through the surgery (and the nausea) okay. I have not had my surgery yet, so I can't address the dehydration issue. I can talk about the bike, though. I am 285 lbs. and I ride my bike with my 9 y/o daughter. We don't ride until around 8 p.m., though, and I can't ride too far, but I'm enjoying getting out, and she seems to really love having Mom ride with her. Hope this helps.
