No, but out of curiosity why do you ask? I have never heard of anyone having problems with brown nails because of this surgery. I am interested to hear about this. It seems I learn something new every day on here. Melissa

When I polish them they are brown... Is them turning brown a side effect of surgery?

Christine you are suppose to clean out from under them every now and then girl. hee hee hee jk jk jk jk. i dont think i have brown nails. when i polish them i usually do a light pink or clear and i dont notice them being brown. now ya'll have me obsessly looking at my nails. lol lol Denise

Well shucks.. Maybe that is what it is... I havent noticed them being brown but I know they wont allow you to have polish on your fingers or toes because that is how they check for oxygen or something... Dont know... Going to get my nail kit out and clean under my nasty fingernails.

Hey Fredrica! I have a student a school whose nails appeared brown because of a severe case of asthma and the medication it required. I know the school nurse took the appearance of brown nails as a reason to get a hold of her doctors immediately. Please call your doctor and let them know. You think you havent had your surgery yet because you are black? Is that what I am reading? Who are you going to be using? How long have you been in this process? Some people have waited 2-3 years for this surgery. It is a very long process and very stressful. It will happen for you in the right time.
