Hey I am going to start me a food log and this is what I have had so far today and it just seems like too much. Of course I have not had my lunch yet but this is what I brought. I prob really really really need to watch the carbs I know. lol lol

Girl--- join the club. Melissa and I just had lunch and were talking about all the bad things we have been doing lately. In the middle of lunch we decided to run to the used book store and see if we could find some books. Between the 2 of us we bought 6 books. We are gonna share them. We are gonna cut out the bad carbs for a few days and see what that does for our cravings. Melissa read somewhere that if we get off the bad carbs for three days and are "purified" then we wont have the cravings.
Your cals look good for the day so far. What are you trying to stay under? I am TRYING to stay under 1150 a day...
I weighed this morning and it was 153. I figure those cals from yesterday havent turned into pounds yet... Haha... I hope you post tonight on our What we ate today posts.

I need to get me a purse size book to keep with me! Esp when I bring my lunch and i have to look up individual stuff you know. I want to try and stay under 1200. what do you think? I thought my cals looked alright to, but my carbs are horrible. lol lol But I dont think I have any really bad things you know. oh well. Thanks for the uplift. I sure needed it today. I promise if I dont post tonight all i have eat today i will first thing in the am. I am also keeping a log on the computer of what I eat just to see a running total. Now if i could just get my ass out and do some serious exercise. lol lol Your right about me anxious to take my fertility pills. Cant wait to get home and take my first dose tongiht. Then we are off for the good stuff. hee hee hee hee. I told my husband last night be prepared and drink his milk cause he will be worked over this month. hee hee

Okay, here is my take on your food log. First of all, you have basically had no protein until your lunch time meal. Starting the day with protein is what kick starts the metabolism for the day and helps to keep insulin levels level. Starting the day with carbohydrates spikes the insulin levels and then crashes them causing cravings, fatigue, mood swings, and hunger. The protein helps to maintain the feeling of saity for longer periods of time and burns more calories during digestion because the body has to work harder to process it. That is really the only thing I see. I don't think you are eating too much or anything like that. It is just what you are starting your day with that I would change. The lunch looks really good. Does 1 tbs of english peas really have 84 calories? I am amazed. And you know what, I think we all fall prey to the infamous carbohydrate, LOL. I know I do. I have to watch those babies myself. Hard to do sometimes. They call me by name LOL. They all know my name (Grrrrr).
You could swap your southbeach cookies for a southbeach protein bar and have 10 grams of protein. They come in peanut butter, chocolate, cinnamon raisin, and cranberry almond and they taste wonderful. I have had the cookies too and the bar keeps me fuller for longer. The cookies taste good, don't they? My kids even like those.
You are doing fine Denise. You looked so good Monday night. I know the hormones are killing you and you have had a hard time with that. But it will get better. The doctors will get you all fixed up. I am praying for you that your fertility meds work and you get that little bundle of joy you want so badly. If you ever need me, please call me. I will listen and be there for you. And you know what, to answer your other post, yes, I have fat days. I think our minds just take longer to catch up with our bodies. I have fewer fat days than I used to have so it has gotten better the further out I get. So hang in there, girl.

Hey, I just added up all my stuff for the day so far. And after I eat my afternoon snack I will be sitting at 647.5 calories with 46 grams of protein. So I think your calories look really good. Your protein is fine too. I would just spread it around some like have some in morning time. We all doing good. Christine and I had lunch today and discussed our carb issues. Then we went and bought every book they had at the Book Rack on ending binge eating and carbohydrate addiction LOL. I am sure the lady at the check out thought, boy what is their deal? Oh, well. I know I have issues. No pretending I don't. Maybe one of those books will do the trick LOL.

I am just really not a big breakfast eater, but I am for sure going to get me some of those bars and try that. I might have to get me one of those calorie counters for my purse to. Ya'll let me know the wonderful tips ya'll get form your books. I need them. Thanks again I cant tell you what you guys mean to me.

Hey, I love my pocket calorie counter. I bought mine at Books-a-Million. Stuff that isn't in there or that I make at home and figure the calories in I just write it in there and have accumulated bunches of stuff in there. I think those bars will do good for you. My mom is not a big breakfast eater, but her doctor told her to stop skipping breakfast so she bought some and she can do those in the mornings.
When I start reading those books, I will share the info. Shoot when I get finished you can read them too. We will just share them and pass them back and forth.

Thanks girl. I appreciate that. That is a really great idea about the pocke calculator and figuring in your own receipes and wriiting them in there. i have got to get me one of those. reckon they might have one in the book seciton at walmart? i will have to look. if not i will have to go back bam and pick me one up.
