We both had blueberry muffins. Mine was good but it wanted to eat 3 or 4 of them. Crushed it up in milk and it made me full quicker. I guess cause it swelled. Good thing it swelled in the glass and not in my pouchy. I want a hot dog!! A chili cheese dog with everything on it. Including onions and mustard and saurkraut.

Well, here I am putting it out there. Breakfast waffle 1 egg 1 slice cheese Snack 1 pc cheese Lunch 2 oz filet mignon, 1/4 c green beans, 1/4 c. pineapple casserole, 1/2 sm new potato Snack 1/2 c blueberries 1/2 c milk Dinner Grilled amberjack, broccoli, bite of salad, ranch, and tartar sauce Snack 1 low sugar cookie, 1-1/2 tbs peanut butter Later I had 1/4 banana Melissa Total Calories around 1100; right there at the 1200 I am supposed to get at 18 months out according to my doctor; not too bad i must say; lots less food than I used to eat as a preop. I would have been starving near to death on that few of calories before surgery. Now I am happy and plenty full on that. How about you Christine?

Oh yea... 1 year ago I would eat 1 sausage McMuffin combo for breakfast and add a breakfast burrito. For lunch I would consume chips and salsa and an entire order of fajitas by myself. For dinner it would be something fried or fast food. Mostly starches as sides. Never veggies. The nights we would eat out it would usually be sonic where I would get the super sonic jalapaeno burger with tots and cheese.... Also would snack during the day. Very very fatty greasy foods. I loved me a buffet---I could put a chinese place out of business. ... I would go to Wards and get a little one combo and a chili cheese dog. Sometimes I would order extra food for myself and get an extra drink just so the person at the window wouldnt think I was eating it all myself. My meals for the days may seem like a lot to some folks and it is sometimes BUT its nowhere near what I used to eat. If I was having a lazy day at home I could eat a big ole family bag or doritoes on my own and never feel fazed by it. Yea, big problem. No wonder I was so fat. But guess what... IVE LOST 112 POUNDS! Aint nothing wrong with that. Those days of eating are in the past now if I overindulge its on 3-4 ounces of something and not on 24 ounces of chips. I think our lunch and dinner choices were good. We arent dead and its okay to have a little something every now and then. Learning moderation is the key. I think you are doing great... and I am trying to get there. One day at a time. I will have you know there is a bag of cheese puffs in my trunk and have been there since Saturday. I refused to bring them in the house. THey are calling my name though and I want them. I havent opened them though. Thats an accomplishment for me. We'll just see how long they last. Haha..

Yes, girl, you have lost 112 pounds and you look great I must say. I know all about the drive thrus and greasy foods. That was all I knew as a preop with the occasional fruit or vegetable thrown in. Now, I dine on mostly meats and veggies and fruit. I find I really love the healthy stuff. I have learned there is much flavor there to enjoy. I know I would never have ordered steamed veggies or a fruit cup with my meal before. Now I really look forward to the veggies and grilled fish and stuff. And on occasion I do eat a slice of pizza or a fried chicken tender. But only in moderation do I eat that stuff and I plan it into my day. And yes cheetos call my name from time to time. I find buying the 50 cent bag at the checkout is best. It is a one serving thing and Cat and I share it and then it is gone and can tempt me no more. I say we pat ourselves on the back for a job well done. I have lost 141 pounds and am very proud and have maintained that loss for months now. Never could have done that preop. Go us, go us, go us. Yeah!!!! Love ya to the moon, Melissa

Girl Please.... You are doing great. Only an idiot would think otherwise. Like I told Christine, I think as far out as you are, your eating has to be about right. The only things or people that I would question is.... Those who just have had surgery & continue to eat like they always did. They don't even seem to be trying to make changes in their eating. Or they're trying to live off of junk cause they say that's all they can get down. Right after surgery I would think that drinking protein shakes everyday would be better than the junk. Then they "cry" it taste bad !!! So !!! Shut up & drink it already !!! Or at least find something healthy that they CAN eat. The idea of WLS so I thought, was to "Eat to Live" NOT "Live to Eat". Oh well.... What do I know ???
