DEPRESSION
Fredrica,
Try not to get down. It wont be long and you will be on the losing side. Sometimes our families just dont understand what its like to be obese.
You do what you feel is best for your life and they will understand eventually that it is the best choice.
I feel for you. I know what its like to be obese. I see people now and sometimes I just want to tell them about this surgery but its so rude.... Its just such a life saver for some and I want to spread the word..
You do what you have to do and it will be okay.
I live in Hattiesburg and your angel is usually someone close by you so they can come and check on you at the hosp but I will be your long distance angel if you want.
I know its hard but dont get down. Your life will change for the better after you have this surgery. You email me anytime you want to talk. I will listen. I may not have the answers but I have ears. Sometimes just getting it out helps.
Girlfriend, you need to get an answering machine. I tried to call you this afternoon and tell you we are all praying for you. I have been there and done that. I have fought depression since I was 15 y/o so I can relate to your situation. It doesn't matter how bad things may seem right now, you have a life changing experience ahead of you and we will go through it together. This forum has the best bunch of "friends" you will ever need.
I had my surgery on May 23 and have lost 52.2 lbs as of this morning and I can't tell you the difference you will feel from the very beginning. As you begin to see a difference in the way your clothes fit, you will begin to pick-up and from there on it is nothing but greatness ahead.
My cell # is on my profile and would love to hear from you.
Hang in there, the cavalry is coming!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi Fredrica,
I'm sorry you are feeling down today. Being overweight can definitely affect us emotionally. I pray you will feel God's presence with you and His Holy Spirit will bring you peace. Just keep in mind that your decision to have this surgery is something you are doing for yourself. If you're like me, you are trying to get your life back. I know the waiting has got to be hard. I don't have a date yet, but hope to have one around the same time you have your surgery. God knows that He has to ease me into things. I have to have time to reflect on it and pray about it, etc. Use this time to draw close to the Lord and let Him be your best friend. He is always with you and hears your cries. God bless you, Fredrica. May you know His peace today.
Deborah
