I've been thinking ...uh oh!

After reading the discussion started between Tammy and Dawn I got to thinking about us pre ops. Like most of you have said the surgery is just a tool, only our stomachs are operated on not our brains. And the more weight we lose pre op the easier the surgery will be on us. Also if we start changing the gears in our minds now to start trying to take in healthier foods and make better choices then we get a jump start on what we have to do post op. Now I'm not meaning starting tomorrow every bad choice we make is gone...it took us ages to get where we are now it won't change over night but if we make the first steps now before surgery...well you get my point. Anyways what I'd like to start doing is a pre op "what i ate today" post...if that's ok with everyone. That way we can help each other get into healthier eating. This post can be apart of the reg what i ate today post or not ...up to ya'll. Anyways any thoughts? Huggles and love, Keli

Sounds like a good plan for you guys. And then you will be post op before you know it and what you ate today will change drastically. Melissa

You know Keli, that sounds like a great idea. What do you think about everyone (but mainly the pre-ops) starting a list of their weaknesses ? Then start trying to get rid of them now or at least cut them down drastically if nothing else. Support from each other is very important. I know that I need a lot of encouragment from people. How dare you come up with this good of an idea before me !!!

I think a list of our weaknesses is a great idea. All I know is my hubby/family would let me get away with stuff just so they could eat it so I need some people to keep me honest and straight with this, and I figure why wait till surgery. What we do after surgery is for the rest of our lives so hey let's start now. I'll be posting sometime after supper my what i ate today list. I want to get this started asap. I went today and got me some vitimins *which I should of been taking already* and few protien drinks to get a nice protien build up going, and to have something for breakfast which I usually skip. *I know bad me...flame away dangit * Anyways will post later.
