Prayers Needed
Hello all of my friends, I know that I have been missing in action. We returned home on July 6th and had to leave again on July 8th. Not only did we have to evacuate from the hurricane but my MIL ended up in ICU in a hospital in Atlanta, so we have been back up here since then, she is still in the hospital and took a turn for the worse today. She has been a smoker for over 50 years and her lungs are in terrible condition. She went into respitory failure on the 8th and has had respirator on since then. They tried to take her off today and she hyperventilated, so they had to dial it back up. Please keep her in your prayers..
I should be back home by Thursday night, I hope... I am at my parents tonight, I came down to pick up my son and see my family some. My DH and his kids are still in Atlanta. I will talk to all of you soon..
Love,
Rhonda
Hey Rhonda,
I'm definitely keeping your family in my prayers! I was wondering where you were, figured with Sara's surgery we'd have seen you there in the hospital!! I sure hope everything turns out okay for you guys, it's no fun having to deal with all of this at once.
Hope you'll be back soon and please take care and y'all drive careful going back and forth!

I wondered where you had been. I been missing you. I am sorry to hear about your MIL. I will certainly add her to my prayer list. I hope she can pull through and be well. I wish you guys safety in traveling back and forth too. Hang in there. If you need anything let me know. We will chat soon when you are able.

Thanks to everyone for the prayers. And Christine, please stop smoking!! It has such a bad effect on your health. You have done too much to improve your health to poison it with cigarettes. I care about you a lot and do not want to see you hurt yourself with that habit, it can become very addictive and one day you could end up like my MIL... My DH has hid all of her ashtrays and cig stuff while she is in the hospital and we have a hard road ahead to make her stop smoking, but she has been in the hospital for 8 days now, so she is eight days smoke free, and she has had clean oxygen in her lungs and that is the way we want to keep it. We have cleaned her house, washed the smoky walls with bleach and have tried to get rid of the smoke stench in her house.
Thanks again for the prayers, and I can't wait to get home, we still have a date to Six Flags in NO some time soon, I hope.
Love ya!
Rhonda
