Our Food Choices for Friday 7/15/05
In all fairness, I must post the failures as well as my successes, so here goes:
8:00 Zone protein bar
10:00 1 sausage patty/1 crepe/1 egg/SF jam
4:00 Slim a Bear
5:30 Home-made pizza 2 thin slices
7:30 10-12 tortilla chips with sour cream/salsa
8:30 Slim a Bear ice cream bar
9:00 1 cup NSA chocolate ice cream
9:30 1/2 cup of canned chicken
10:00 another Slim a Bear ice cream bar
Water was good, meds were good, little exercise though
So much for planning my menu, my plan went south by 10:00. The kids wanted a "special brunch" so we started cooking! I noticed I skipped lunch and started to munch. My danger zone continues to be 4:00-on. I journaled/logged into Fitday.
Totals were 1615 cals, 71 grms protein, 79 fats, 172 carbs (WOW)
You making me feel bad...
B: 6 ounces of Cottage Cheese
S: 6 SF Choc Covered Graham Crackers (280 cals) EEEEK - and they were small --I decided I would eat the whole bag if I didnt discard them so I passed them out around the building.
L: 3/4 chicken leg, few beans, 1/2 biscuit, inside of deviled egg, few cucumbers, few fried okra.... We had a luncheon at work... This tends to make me graze cause they leave it on the table all day in our office.
S: peice of SF Blueberry crescent roll
S: SF Cheese cake
Later I had a hershey kiss at Emilys play
D: 1/2 patty melt without the crust and 1/2 order of hashbrowns from Waffle House.
S: South beach Choc/Oatmeal Cookie pack - 100 calorie serving

Awful Awful Awful... Its the SF stuff that is doing me in. I have to quit eating that stuff as snacks. They do not fill me up and I want to have more and more and more. Gonna go back to having eggs as snack. If I dont have those SF stuff around I wont want them. As long as they are there I eat them. No more purchasing that stuff. Going back to cheese and eggs and milk and blueberries.
Today is the last day of the play and my eating habits are changing... No more rush eating and fast foods....GOnna cook steamed veggies and chicken every night. If my family dont eat it.. OH WELL...
I am sure my calories were very high yesterday.. My confessions... Its also period time around here. Still no excuse.
You are soooo right about the SF stuff! I have fallen into the trap too. I can't resist those Klondike bars. They call to me when they are in the house. I had a weak moment and purchased them AGAIN. I had sworn not to get them again but slipped. Those calories add up and aren't free just because they dont have enough sugar to make us dump. Talk about working around the tool! UGH!
Hang in there girl, weren't gonna identify these bad habits and break them one by one!
How much are the tickets to the play? Isn't it at 2:00 today?

Its at 2 today. I do hope you all can come. The tickets are a little pricey in my opinion.. Just think though --even the parents have to buy tickets and Ive been to all the shows.
They are $8.00 for adults and $6.00 for children. Under school age are free. Its a great play though. Its 2 hours and has an intermission.
I have done good so far today...
Had a peanut butter and SF Jelly wrap for Breakfast (I was making them for the cast party)...and for lunch I experimented and made a cream cheese with cherries wrap. It wasnt that great and I dumped. Not sure why... Guess the sugar in the cherries. I am gonna try to eat only fruit at the cast party or veggies from the veggie tray. Wish me luck. I am sure something will tempt me to eat it. I am a very weak person when it comes to food. I cant fight the temptations --I usually give in. Thats why I am gonna try to keep those bad foods at bay...We may ditch the cast party... Who knows.. Depends on Emily. I'd rather go swimming....
Energy drinks like Rock Star fill me up and lasts a little while and keeps me from eating. I drink it really fast --I am gonna stop and get 2 of them. One for on the way and one for afterwards if we decide to stay for the cast party. WIsh me luck...
Good luck to you too on your eating habits. We have to get a handle on this. I keep saying I wont, but I do... Why is food such a problem. I wish I could say "I forgot to eat today"....
Ok I think I did ok yesterday (except for the itsy bitsy piece of cake)
I did not have anything for breakfast because I was running around all morning getting stuff for my sons birthday party.
Lunch 1/2 hamburger, diet pepsi
snacked on a hot dog
Dinner BBQ Chicken and diet pepsi and the itsy bitsy piece of cake (its was my sons birthday party I had to)
Snack hot dog
I did not drink enough water yesterday. I was trying I carried a gallon bottle with me and just kept taking sips but I think I only got 1/4 of the way through it.

i dumped today for the first ans hopefully last time, it was awful. I was at my moms house getting ready to go to my grandmas funeral, and there was all these sweets in the house that the nice people bring, and the brownies wouldnt leave me alone until i ate one!!!
