Hi; New and Scared, Wanda
After waiting for 10 months. I have a date for surgery of August 24.
But it is going to be a open procedure. So now I have time to worry
about the 9 month old { not being able to pick him up },and all the support I will need . My husband is in the Navy and the ship ins't happy about my
surgery.
Wanda
Wanda congrats about your date. My husband is in the Navy too. He is stationed at Stennis and I am very lucky his work is really cool about him taking leave to take care of me. The Navy might not be happy with your surgery but the President signed the family leave act so they have to let him off to take care of you and the baby. They dont have a choice. How long has your husband been in? Mine has been in almost 15 years. Glad you have a date that is awesome.
Amy
I think the 'ship' will get over it. You will need his support and for him to be at home. This is medically nessecary and you will need time to recover. You will not be able to pick your baby up unless you want a hernia....
Congrats on getting your date. I know you are thrilled. Its just around the corner!!
Congratulations, Wanda. I am happy for you. I am sorry the Navy isn't quite so happy. They will get over it. You have to take care of you because no one else will. You are doing this to save your life. Just relax and everything will work out fine. And if you need to vent or need some support you have us to lean on. We are here for you if you need us.
Good luck and please keep us posted on things.
