Went for my scheduled checkup yesterday with Dr. King in Oxford. I had lost 19 more pounds since last visit for a total of 66 pounds. He prescribed me a potassium supplement because the blood tests showed it was slightly low. He also put me on Citracal as a calcium supplement. Also wanted me to up my protein, so I'm going for 100g a day, instead of the 75 to 80 I was getting. Got to add chicken and pasta to my approved list, so went to Walmart and picked up some low carb pasta and chicken breast. Am going to try them tonight.

Congratulations on the weight loss. YOu are doing really well. I hope your first run with pasta goes better than mine. I didn't do well with pasta and had to give it up for a little while longer until I was further out. Now I do fine with it and enjoy it occasionally with some grilled chicken and veggies. The low carb tastes pretty good to me. I really can't tell a difference. I think you will enjoy it. Melissa Taylor Lap Rny 1/15/04 277/136 -141 pounds

Woohooo Mr. Phillip.. Thats great news... And so fast! Chicken was one of the first things I had after I was released. It only came up a couple of times. Just kidding... Only once.. and that was from 1 bite too much. I am baking chicken breasts tonight and squash/brocolli/cauliflower/carrot medley in the oven as well... I think I pretty hooked on that medley. Its pretty good. I get all of my protein in everyday plus some extra and my hair has fallen out lots. It started at 4 mos and has continued on. Its so thin... Good luck on the chicken and the pasta.. I know you will enjoy it even if it comes back up... oh well, wrap it up and just save it for later. Haha... I know... thats not funny...
