ONE OF THE BESTEST NURSES AT KEESLER..... Wendy Wilkins, got Air Force WIDE nurse of the year!!! Go, Wendy, go!!!! I know Andie met her, and I think Rhonda did too. Prolly Sherry and Angie Bea met her too while I was in surgery. Wendy is the one that got updates when they forgot to call the waiting area. She is a wonderful person and was "raised" by my brother-----She was a tiny little 17 year old when she went into the Air Guard and my brother and his group took her under their wing and "raised her up right!" She really looked after me when I was in the hospital (She works in surgical supply and I have heard that some of the Docs won't go into the operating room unless Wendy is there too). Currently is way to the East of us helping out with the injured across the "big pond" and is homesick for her hubby, little boy and mom...Please send her a big congrats for her award....BTW, Dr. Jenkins, the love of my life, is her commander and he started the ball rolling when he put her up for Nurse of the Quarter/Year at Keesler. So if you see him, you have my permission to give him a big hug ---but only this once! Here's Wendy's Email....She is a Captain, I think..... Hey Arlies YEAHH I remember Wendy, she's so sweet.. Make sure you extend my congrats to her, great job!!!!! Hopefully she can come back home soon to her family.
