May I ask What is Amberjack?

I see everyone talking about it what is this? and how do you cook it if you cook it?

It is a fish. Not fishy tasting though. It is great grilled or broiled. Serve with steamed veggies. It is very high in protein, nutrients, and very low in calories. Very tender and easy on the pouch. Melissa Taylor Lap Rny 1/15/04 277/136 -141 pounds

Melissa got me hooked on it. We go to Chesterfields in Hattiesburg and order the Amberjack dinner with 2 sides of steamed veggies and split it. Its VERY GOOD. For 1 ounce of Amberjack it is like 40 calories. FOr the veggies its like 65-75 calories. If we wouldnt eat the tarter sauce and ranch dressing our lunch would be around 200-250 calories (give or take)... for a big mac combo at McDonalds its probably like 2500 calories.. hahaha... I dont know if its really that high but either way.. its good and filling and tasty.

Amberjack is one of my most favorite fi**** is a little more fleshy, like tuna or swardfish, but remains tender when cooked. It is a white fish that remains low in fat and high in protein. I like it better grilled, though sometimes it can be difficult to keep together if you don't have a grill press for fish. Happy eating, james.
