Support Group???

I live in Laurel. I want to get active in a Support Group or Groups ASAP. If you have information about: When? , Where? and Directions, I would greatly appreciate it! Thanks, Sonya Sumrall

There are several meetings. There is one in Meridian.. One in Jackson, one on the coast and one in Hattiesburg. The one is Hattiesburg is the 3rd Monday of every month. You just missed our last one and it was a good one. Get active in one. Its a nessecity!!

I would love to get in a support group in the Jackson area if at all possible. I have not had surgery as of yet, but hope to be able to some day soon. Do you happen to know when and where they meet? Thanks precious! Marci

I cant remember when Jacksons is... I *think* it is 2nd Monday of the month..I not real sure. Others will chime in when they wake up -- they know.

Hey Marci, Just wanted to let you know you and my daughter have the same name and even spell it the same way. I thought that was cute. I live in Carthage if you need any help with anything let me know. Becky

How funny is that? There are not very many people who spell it this way, it is usually MARCIE or MARCY. My mom was funny about picking out names, my middle name is DeLise (I told her it sounds french - with the capital D and a capital L in it). The support I have gotten so far from everyone on this site has been overwhelming. I know that I can get through finding a doctor that accepts VR, having the surgery, and living post-op as long as I have such caring and supportive friends at ObesityHelp! Marci

Meridian support meeting is the 2nd Monday of the month. When a meeting is coming up, someone always posts, so keep watching! Smoochies Arlies

Thank you for the info. about support groups. I will headed to the hospital the same day as the Meridian Support Group Meeting. I hope to bee able to attend both the Hattiesburg and Meridian meetings in August. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Sonya Sumrall RNY July 14, 2005
