my dad burn husband....
Yeah, my sugar free candy is safe in the house too. I haven't wanted to make my family be deprived so like you they get their snacks out of the house while shopping in town or at movies and such. Or they bring a one serving snack into the house and when they finish there is none left to tempt me. What can I say? I am a food addict and can't be around it. But like you, I am short and if it is up high like above the refriderator it is safe as I do not think above a certain height LOL. That iron can be bad. You need your candy to keep you regular. See there you have a reason to eat your candy (daily). I will come and chat sometime too. That would be fun. Let me know when and how and I will join you guys some night.

LIQUID DISH WASHING DETERGENT...
let your family eat the cake they want and then douse the devilish thing with liquid dish detergent. This is a test of your future success in WLS! Utterly ruin every bit of that cake...take the power away from the food! This has been the only way I have avoided foods in my most desperate times. Extreme, yes, but so was WLS.
Best wishes,
Elesha
Elesha.. We are 2 peas in a pod. I ruin my food too. I have to. Yesterday at lunch when I had my 1st sign that I was full I poured TONS of ranch dressing all over my plate. I usually use salt or ketchup. I have to ruin in or I will continue to eat on it until I am miserable. Eating out is a lot harder than eating at home.
I also have noticed that eating with other post ops is fairly simple. I tend to not eat as much and get satisfied without feeling FULL or miserable.
Dr. Carson's said last night at the seminar that if you get full you have eatin 30% more than what you need. I dont know if that is strictly for preops or if that goes for us Post ops as well. Gonna email him and ask him. I am also gonna see if I can get another meeting with him.
