Portable foods for work
I know that a lot of you work. What kinds of foods to you take to work to eat and how do you manage the small meals? I teach school but have a morning break and lunchtime, drinking is not a problem even in the classroom although I dont do it now cause I dont feel that it is professional to do that, however from a medical perspective it will be necessary. Help please?????
When I was fresh out I would bring my lunch...
I would have a protein drink for breakfast on my way (this helps me as I pass McDonalds, Wards, Burger King, Krystals, Waffle House and another Wards) ---pure torture. Boiled eggs for snack...Get you a small 3 seperate container thing and put some sort of protein and green veggie and some fruit in it.
Put the boiled eggs in a ziplock bag. Have cheese on hand. Beef Jerky for snacks... I am also fixing to get myself back into this routine. I have gotten into a bad habit of going to lunch with my friend and its not a good idea. Its poor choices and I am spending money on food that I shouldnt be eating. Either way its stupid. Gonna get me a 3way container and take cottage cheese, beets, and some eggs..
I take things I can fix the night before. I take chicken salad, tuna salad, lettuce wraps (big lettuce leaf, ham or turkey, cheese all rolled up), soup, left overs from the night before dinner as we have a microwave we can use. I have one of those insulated lunch bags and I buy those ice paks and that keeps my stuff cool all day. I also take apples, bananas, cheese, nuts. Anything easy. The ice paks and lunch bag allow me to take whatever I want anywhere I go. First out from surgery, all you need is your protein drinks, and puddings, canned soups and stuff like that.
