Hello to Everyone. Well. it is 10 days out for me and I am losing a lot of weight. I have lost well over 20 lbs. to this date. Getting the daily water and protein in my body is a constant struggle. I have not reached any water goals or protein goals yet. I don't think I ever will. I have the unjury unflavored protein and I can still taste it and it makes me want to be ill. I am walking daily and plan on using my husband's six second abs (equipment) to tighten my tummy after I get the okay from the docs in a couple of weeks. I still get very tired during the day, I am no longer taking daily naps. Sleep is such a healer. I have to remind myself that I just had major surgery and I am not suppose to feel 100%. I am already experiencing the changes that make me feel normal. I know that this decision was the best for me, and I know I have a long way to go, it is going to be one heck of a ride!!! I tried tuna fish and a little mayo yesterday, I chewed it real well and it felt like it just sat in my stomach. I guess I am not ready for that just yet. I had a egg this morning and it was accepted my new tummy. I am going to try a some refried beans tonight. I need the protein so bad. I just wanted to say hello and I will see all of the locals at Keesler's support group meeting on the 28th of June. Any suggestions on some other HIGH protein foods please send them my way. Love to All, Sharon Bates

Sounds like your doing really good. If you can have it sf peanut butter(creamy) might be good. Its a good source of protein too. Becky

Sharon, Glad to hear you are doing okay. The first month is very hard dealing with all the changes in your life. But trust me, it does get easier! Best of luck with your continued weight loss. Rhonda RNY 03/01/05 240/170/125 -70 pounds forever!

WOW! You are doing GREAT!!!! I am 5 months out and still don't do any kind of fish! You can have cream of chicken soup spiced up with a can of chicken (run it thru the blender before you heat it) for extra protien or made with milk instead of water. I also do tomato soup with milk and cheese melted in it. Potted meat works well too, bu****CH the calories as some are higher fats than others... Smoochies Arlies PS the proper way to eat your peanut butter at this time is to lick it off the spoon!

Hi Sharon... way to go! That is great! I never tried the unjury. I have heard mixed reviews about it though. I got very tired and still do get very tired. I DO still take daily naps (well only on the weekends)...haha... The refried beans will be great for your stomach. I havent heard many people say they couldnt tolerate them. I actually ate sardines post op. They are VERY high in protein. I dipped them in mustard and ate on a cracker. If you are a sardine person you could try them for protein.
