Are there any fruits ya'll can eat and not dump on? I dieing for a peach or cantelope? I'll make sure that it's very soft and mushy before i eat it! I'm having leg cramps(charlie horses,it's not a blood clot!) I know it's cause my potassium is low and I'm sceared of a banana, to sweet! And i sure don't want to have to take a potassium pill (giant) and I hear that the liquid is no picnic either!LOL DAWN

I have dumping sydrome but not on natural sugars. I have always been able to eat any fruit and it not bother me. I have even been able to drink juice since the beginning. But you give me something with too much real sugar in it and I get sick. THey make low carb orange juice and apple juice. I started out drinking that. Does juice have as much potassium as eating the fruit. I don't know about these things. Read on the nutrition information on the back of some of the low carb real fruit juice and see how much potassium is in there. I had leg cramps in the beginning too. Dehydration causes leg cramps too. I had them bad when I got dehydrated a few weeks after surgery. I had gotten sick with a sinus infection and the antibiotic made me sick and I couldn't keep anything down and ended up dehydrated and had to go to the ER. Boy, did my legs cramp. Good luck and I hope you get rid of those charlie horses. Melissa

I have eaten tons (well, tons is relative!) of cantelope, watermelon, grapes, strawberries, oranges, apples, peaches, etc with NO ill effect! Go get you a good cantelope and EAT! It will make your tummy so very happy!!!! Smoochies Arlies PS it is the PROCESSED sugar that is the big problem....

I ate alot of fruits. Well, I mostly drank the juice out of the orange, chewed the juice out of the apples, and sucked the pineapple dry. I didnt want to swallow any peelings... It was mostly the taste and juice I wanted. I dont dump on natural sugars --only the processed sugars. Does this mean we can chew on a sugar cane for a snack??? A banana would probably be good for you right now. I would just be weary of the stringy fruits like PINEAPPLE and do any from a can.

This isnt real sweet. Its sweet but not syrupy sweet. Earlier in my post I left out a word. My suggestion was to NOT buy the canned fruits. They are in syrup. You can see if they have those SF canned fruits. I have seen them. I dont know how they taste but you could put splenda on top of them!

Oh yea.. the orange juice I drink is Minute Maid Light. Its half the calories and half the sugar. Tastes like the real deal too. I wanted it right after surgery. Also, Glenda Rowell brought some real good Hawaiian Punch to the bash and it was very low in sugar. I bought some and am drinking on it. It might give ya a little flavor.
