Support Group Meeting

J.O.U.R.N.E.Y. of WLS Support Group We are a support group for people in the Birmingham and surrounding areas of Alabama (and actually have people who come from all over this state and Georgia and occasionally Mississippi) that have had or are thinking of having weight loss surgery. We are a non-surgeon specific group, however many of our members have had surgery with Dr. Les Miles and Dr. Lee Schmitt. We meet the 3rd Saturday of the month at Medical Center East (Birmingham, AL) on the 2nd floor in classrooms 1-4 @ 3pm and the LAST Monday of each month @ 6pm in the same location. The meetings last anywhere from 1 1/2 to 2 hours or longer if they need to be. We always have free protein tastings and offer a wide variety of supplements (protein, vitamins and such) for you to purchase. June's Saturday meeting is THIS Saturday June 18th!! Make plans now to attend. We have a special guest speaker!! Her name is Dr. Beverly Smallwood. She is coming to us from Mississippi and is a clinical pyschologist, motivational speaker AND a WLS patient. How exciting!!! I hope to see you there!
