has anyone ever had gallbladder problems?
Hey Y'all!
I think I may have gall bladder trouble and I was wondering if any of you have had it, some of the symptoms I have are when I eat ice cream, or sugar free stuff or spicy foods and some sodas my stomach cramps up at the top part of my abdomen right below my right breast, and I feel really bloated and uncomfortable. Is that a sign of gallbladder problems?
just curious,
crystal
When I had Gallbladder problems, I would feel like I had gotten the stomach flu, queasy feeling, very gassy but not able to go to the bathroom. Finally, I had a couple of attacks where I felt like I had been punched in the stomach, that was gallstones which were up in the tube! I thought I was going to die. I had been blaming the students for giving me stomach flu every few weeks. The pain did not end when they took my gallbladder out, it seems that some people have a nerve which makes them have phantom attacks of pain. I had that for more than a year. Totally debilitating, but nothing they can do. Finally the nerve will die and then the attacks vanish. You also have dumping when you eat very oily or fatty meals. Indian food and curry does it to me, within an hour of the meal! I have had some close calls with that

My gallbladder and I were at war for several years.
It got to the point that I couldn't eat black pepper, spicy foods, and anything really heavy. Really bad attacks caused nausea and very sharp pain shooting from below my right breast through to the back. My gallbladder and I parted company last May and I haven't missed it for one minute!
If that's your problem, definitely go ahead and have it removed! It'll save you a lot of misery.

I agree with you on that! I had a massive attack the day after my husband and I got married, got it out that next week. A month later I flew to Hong Kong to live. The nerve business drove me crazy for about a year, I think that the doctors thought I was some kind of a drug addict, but then they were not doing any lap surgeries here, and everyone wanted to see my scars from the surgery! LOL! Now they are all buzzing over the RNY surgery I am going to have, went to the clinic to have tests yesterday and all the nurses were talking to me about it!
(The clinic is at the univerisity and is a teaching facility)
When you and I feel well enough during the summer, want to meet to have a cup of tea?
