*Attention* Psych Evaluation = Denial

After payning $450.00 cash (yes you read that right) for a Pysch Evaluation I was denied because the Pyschologist would not recommend or deny this surgery for me. She said I did not have any pyschiatric conditions that would keep me from understanding and succeeding in the weight loss. But she did not make any recommendation either way. Insurance Comapany said she has to recommend it or they will not approve it. Have any of you ever had this happen? I need advice? Cindi I am very sad right now, like it's just no use trying anymore.

Cindi, just remember that the person making these accept/deny decisions is just some yahoo sitting in a cubicle. I'd fuss like there was no tomorrow because, Like Macy said, it sounded like a recommendation to me too! Keep fighting!!!

I think that you need to call your psych and let her know what the denial letter says. Maybe she can re-write the letter for you so that your insurance company will be happy. Good Luck! Marci
