Video or pics of surgery?

Does anyone know if videoing of the surgery is standard practice? I know they takes pics, but I would kinda like to see a video of my own surgery. I wonder if you can get a copy if it was done? Ain't that weird.

PJ call your surgeons office and ask them. I am sure if they tape it they'd give you a copy. I really wouldnt know, since I really rather NOT see it ( blood? guts? omg ::::faints::: groooooossssssssssss ) he he I dont think you're weird for wanting to see it being done, just more courageous than others By the way you have some internet livecasts that show you the procedure if you wanna see it done on someone else, there's a link somewhere on the board, if you cant find it, let me know I'll send it to you again ~Andie~

Yes, I saw an internet video before my surgery. I just kinda wanted to see what my insides look like. Like I said, ain't that weird.

Its not weird. I watched one online after my surgery. Kinda interesting. Wasnt as much blood as I expected. I cringe though at blood so thats a good thing.

I'd like to know how big my stomach was. I could put away 2 of those biggest monster burgers at Hardees w/fries and not even feel stuffed before the surgery, so my old stomach must have been huge.

This morning I had a fried egg with a slice of cheese melted over it and I'm feeling fine.

That is amazing !!! I can't wait till I can say that. It just seems so unreal to think that "fullness" could ever happen after living like this for so many years. Tammy

It is simply amazing. I just got in from walking and after cooling off for a few minutes am going to hit the weights. And I'm looking forward to it. lol I just started wearing my old 44 waist jeans a couple of days ago, down from my preop 48 waist. I'm still in my 3x shirts though, I like a tall size and all my old shirts are regular. lol. They are beginning to hang pretty bad now, so I've got some 2x talls on my watch list on ebay. Luckily I still have old jeans down to a 42 waist, so I'm set for a few more weeks.

lol I used to go to Waffle House and get a 3 or 4 egg omelet and when I got through eating it I would say " Hmm, I should have got a 5 egg". Man, you talk about someone who was obsessed with food. It just tickles me to death that the little one fried egg with cheese satifies me fine. And that was nearly four hours ago and I'm not hungry a bit. Course I've been drinking my water.
