My hair is even shorter than Christine's! I got a haircut on Tuesday and it is SHORT!!! Almost shorter than Jim's!!! It's up over my ears!!! My hubby likes my hair short. I just think your dh is a nervous wreck and is terrified about the changes you are going thro and will continue to go thru. Tell him if he wants long hair, he is perfectly welcome to grow it and live under it!!! (I know, I know, but I just can't help being a smartie!!!!) I wish I'd known that you worked at CAFB. Last week when we ventured up there, I'd have called you for lunch or something. Sissie and I are planning on going back later to pick up her surround sound system (we left in at a repair shop) so we need to meet for lunch or to chat anyway.... How come you don't weigh 30,000 lbs seeing as how you live in the land of Jublications cheese cakes??????????? Smoochies Arlies

Good Morning everyone!! Crystal, men always say that women are impossible to understand, I think it's quite the opposite. Some of them are totally hung up on certain features, we all know this. Now I'm actually more hung up on the hair thing than hubby is. He tells me he doesn't care, as long as I like my hair, I can do with it what I want. And I do. I 've gone from a mane down to my lower back ( yeah, 5 yrs ago haha) to a bob cut now. I like it, way easier to manage and definitely less drying time Since he's joined the Navy, he has gone from his adorable bowl cut to sometimes SHAVING his head, and omggggggggggggg I just don't care for that look at all, and I call him baldy but I know he just doesn't want to have to deal with it when he's out at sea for a month at a time, so I tolerate it - by the time he comes back, it's grown back anyways. I 'm by no means submissive, but I found that usually, if I do something drastic, I ask him first how he'd feel about it and normally the answer I get is " it's your decision, do what you want " Complaining about being HOT for days before and then saying " I think maybe I'll get my hair cut short " might just do the trick in a case like that ( rather than having to listen to you whine about it hehe ) Reverse psychology does have its uses !! ~Andie~

How often does everyone in here get thier hair cut??? I think its been like 7 or 8 months since I got my hair cut last and it seems everyone "just" got thier hair cut. Maybe it cause summer??? I think I need to get my hair cut cause its getting hot. ~*~ Iris ~*~ _____

Girl Please..... Men....... Grrrrrr..... You know how they are. Pain in the Tails most of the time. Your head & Your Hair. Cut it, shave it, whatever. He will be OK. And if he is going to "treat you like a man", that could be a good thing. Tell him "Great, I wish that you would", then sit on the couch or in the recliner & tell him to bring you a beer or Coke !!! And don't forget to ask " Whats for Supper ?" Trust me, a few days of that & you will be Queen of his world again & your hair will look the best that it has ever looked. Tammy

that was a good one!! I wish I'd thought of something like that! I don't think he'd be so quick to say "I'm gonna treat you like a man" grrrrrrrr that just burned me up when he said that! I think he knows he has royally pissed me off because he was laying the sugar on thick today... maybe he realized what a jerk he was. He hasn't told me he was sorry, but he called me twice today from work, and the last time he called he said, " I was just thinking about you, and I just wanted to tell you I love you" boyyyyy is that laying it on thick or what?! anyways, he's gotten an attitude adjustment or something... not so ****y today! ttfn crystal

My hubby likes my hair longer also but does not put me down for getting it cut short. He knows that I am going to wear my hair however I want to. I do take his suggestions into consideration. I am trying to let mine grow back out a little bit. The longer it gets though it seems it is harder to deal with, when it is short, it is much easier and faster to fix. When he was fussing at you on the phone, had he even seen your hair yet? Or was he just mad because you told him that you cut it? I like the idea that Tammy gave but we all know that when we have kids that unfortunately we can't do that. My husband said that he does not feel that women look as feminine with very short hair. He shaves his hair bald on the sides and short on the top every two weeks, so he does not realize how hot hair on your neck can be. He does not realize that we cut our hair short for ease of styling it or because we want to be cool during the hot months. Just wanted to share that with you. I hope he continues to treat you good and not be a jerk. Marriage is one of the hardest jobs we will ever have other than raising kids. Rhonda
