Rebecca ( love your name by the way, I named my baby that with middle name! ) I just read your profile and I wanted to say that I'm happy that your surgeon has agreed to do the surgery. I also started out at a pretty high BMI and I've had hypertension and diabetes. The hypertension was the main reason, they could never get it completely under control and I was very much scared for my life if I didn't get surgery soon, I knew I wasn't going to be alive for long. Anyways, I hope you post often and you let someone post for you right after surgery, we wanna know how you're doing !! Those weeks of sugar free ( and worse, for me, was the CAFFEINE free ) will be over soon, too. After a while, sugary stuff won't even tempt you any more. I'm almost a year post op now, and the other day I had no choice but to take a sip of a sugar carbonated drink to wash something down and I was like EWWWW this is gross. Don't crave it any more. I now crave ice cold water and my favorite peach tea crystal light ( Wal-Mart brand LOL ) I dont know HOW I used to drink Cokes!! So Good Luck, we're here for ya if you need support!! ~Andie~
