Ok guys,
Tell me the truth. Does the scope and the filter hurt being put in? I am sorta a weenie and like to know what to expect ahead of time so please don't sugar coat it.

You'll be asleep for the scope and the filter is a piece of cake. The only pain I really felt during my whole process was when the would take a piece of tape off.

I didn't have a Vena Cava Filter but I did have an EGD. It was a piece of cake. I had to be at the hospital at 10:00 and I was on my way home at noon. I was all stressed about having the EGD, but on the way home I thought I sure was being silly...it was nothing to it.

Normally they administer Versad which puts you in a twilight sleep. I had it when I had kidney stones and never even remember one part of the procedure! Nuttin' to worry about kiddo
