Don't be taking laxatives!!!! They aren't good for you. Try a stool softener (Ducolax over the counter at Walmart) and GREATLY increase your water intake. I have had two bad bouts of constipation here lately and that's what helped me......Prolly when the constipation goes, so will the gas pains.....Are you eating different? Good luck! Smoochies Arlies

JO- water water water and over the counter softeners, like Arlies has suggested. if it gets too bad, a suppository is ok, just stay away from the laxatives if you can. I know I get about 100 oz of water a day and it has helped me a lot. I upped from 64 to 100 oz. it really made a huge difference. give it a shot! Take care and have a good holiday weekend!! ~Andie~

DO NOT TAKE LAXATIVES. Your bowels do not need to work that hard. Our nurse suggested MOM or a tablespoon of mineral oil every 3 days. Try that and stay away from the laxatives.

I take the Dulcolax laxative. Took them 2 nites in a row and nothing. Also tried the Dulcolax suppositories and nothing. I take Colace Softener twice aday cause I take Slow-Fe iron pill every day. I know that the iron adds to constapation. I am only getting in about 60-70 oz of water daily, so as of today I will increase the water.. Ugh.. drink drink drink and drink some more.. lol.. thanks family for the imput and advice, love ya all Jo 444/414/288 151
