THE RUBBER MEETS THE ROAD
Well guys, after all the being anxious and all about this surgery for so long. I got a call from my doc's office today and they want me to come in on Tuesday for the appt. they had a cancellation, and they will do my scope the next week and if all is well, surgery will probably 2 weeks after that.
It sorta freaked me out so bad at work that I threw up. I know it sounds stupid, but now I am feeling all sorts of nervousness and anxiousness and lots of different things...

Hi Sue!
You sound just like me!! I know you're scared, anxious, nervous, and happy you're getting it done all wrapped up in one emotion!
It's almost like being pregnant, I remember being very emotional, one minute I was laughing at my husband's jokes the next minute I was sobbing uncontrollably its a crazy feeling emotion, but I am experiencing it too.
I am scared about the what ifs... but look at it this way, look at all the sucess stories of gastric bypass in the member directory.. its a TON..there are a few people that have not made it through, but they were unhealthy to begin with, and had a lot of health problems. I am looking on the positive side of things.. they say there is a 2% death rate, well there's a 98% sucess rate...plus I know your doctor, he is very experienced and he really knows what he is doing.. you are in good hands..
You just trust in the man upstairs to take care of you.. because he will. I have prayed and prayed about this and I am always at peace about it everytime I do even though I am still scared...its just human to be scared, but just know in your heart everything will be okay. Don't let the steal your peace and happiness.
I am just so happy that you are so close to beginning your new life. Just think how happy you will be when you reach your goal.
I know I am going to be estatic! I have always wanted to know what it felt like to be thin and healthy.. and we are almost there!

Sue,
This Tuesday the 31st?
I have lab-work that day and
My Appointment at the Surgical Clinic is the 1st.
(My first checkup since February.)
Don't get anxious if you have to wait awhile in the office.
Mikey King, and Byars are always being called
Across the street for
"Emergency Surgeries."
My first time there I had to wait nearly an hour
And then my Dr. showed up very apologetic.
King and Byars both are the "Go To Guys"
Of surgery in North Mississippi,
And anytime there is an accident,
They are called across the street.
Peggy will weigh you in and take your Blood Pressure
And then you'll move into a room to wait for King.
Take a Magazine from the waiting area with you
Just in case.
You may not have a wait at all,
But I've had them a couple of times.
My last time there,
I waited for an extra hour and then Byars and Peggy
"Worked on me," draining a seroma,
And when we came out everyone else in the office had gone home.
It is great that they stayed as long as necessary rather than
Rescheduling me for another day.
Hopefully during one of your Visits to Oxford we can Meet up.
Best Wishes-
Dx
