What's everyone doing for the holiday
Well, we are supposed to go to Six Flags in New Orleans on Saturday with my sister and her husband if the weather permits. Then on Monday we will be cooking out at my Mom and Dad's house assuming they are still up to it after getting back from their trip. My parents have been on a cruise all week long. They are supposed to get in late tomorrow night. I have been jealous all week. I want to go on a cruise LOL.
I have been enjoying going to Six Flags. We got season passes. I have always loved scary rides. The scarier the better. I rode everything until my early 20's and then I had to stop because I was too big. Well, not anymore. I can ride it all again. As a matter of fact when we went in April I had bruises from the rides because I was so little, I got banged around alot. Never thought in a million years I would have my name and little in the same sentence. But, hey that is what this wonderful WLS tool is all about. Giving us our lives and our health back and for that I am grateful. So roller coasters here I come again for another round of fun and maybe a few bruises here and there LOL.

Hey Melissa,
That is funny to hear you talk about six flags. I have always
loved scary rides too. About 5-6 years ago I went to six flags
in Atlanta and their was some rides I couldn't ride because I was too
big. So my hubby said when I loose 100 pounds he is taking me to
six flags so I can ride those rides. As of today I am just like 7-8 pounds
away. So I can't wait. It will feel so good to be able to do things I
couldn't do before. As far as the holiday goes. Sat. I have to take
my friends little girl to a softball tourn. Then Sunday we are suppose
to cook out at their house and swim. I hope the weather is good.
Hope you have fun on your trip.
Becky
We went to Six Flags in Atlanta about 4 or 5 years ago, and there were some rides I could not do too. I got to ride some things, but not my favorite. Growing up, we went to Six Flags in Atlanta every summer as we were pretty close being in Alabama and all. I loved the Scream Machine, but I was scared to try and get on it because of my size. I want to go back to Atlanta. Maybe we can go together. My hubby just walks around playing games and stuff. He gets sick if he tries to ride. So I usually ride with my son or we take friends with us so I have someone to ride with. Like I said the scarier the better. I love the thrill.
Have a good holiday weekend.

I am going to visit my mom and dad in South Georgia. I have not seen them since I had my surgery the first of March. I am excited for them to see how much weight I have lost. It is always fun to see people you have not seen since before your surgery. We had season passes to Six Flags New Orleans last year and I did not ride anything because I was too big. This year if we do it, I will be able to ride anything that I want to. It is amazing what 60 pounds lost will do to a person.
Oh, Rhonda that will be so much fun. It is always fun to go somewhere you haven't been in a while to see the reactions you get when they see you. Your parents will be so excited and happy for you. Sixty pounds makes a big difference.
Hey, Becky likes Six Flags and riding scary rides and I do too. So maybe we just need to plan us an event and all go to Six Flags and enjoy the thirlls. That would be fun.

Hey Skinny girl! Yes, you are tiny. I can imagine that you did get beat up and bruised. You arent much of anything other than skin and bones, seriously.
I havent been on a roller coaster in a long time. I want to so bad. The older I get the more scared I am. Esp of the ones that go upside down.
We are supposed to go to Jourdan River in Bay St. Louis tomorrow evening and come back on Sunday. Then Monday we are going to spend the day at Peps Point. I enjoy going there. I would prefer not to go to Jourdan River but I have a feeling my husband is going to make me.
Hey this is our last weekend before the bash isnt it... WOOHOOO!! How exciting.
You getting pretty skinny yourself, girly. Hey, we will have to all go to Six Flags and I will ride with you. Maybe our hubbys will hit it off at the picnic and we can do things together sometimes like grill out or something. How far is Peps Point? That may be an idea for Monday if Mom and Dad are too tired to cook out.
I may be fixing to keep Braxton. My sister just called and her husband may be taking her to the ER. Her Crohn's disease is acting up and she is in pain. She has an appointment with her GI doctor next week. She may have to have a section of her intestines taken out due to the ulcerations caused from her Crohn's Disease. She is a little nervous about that. I haven't had to get up with a baby during the night in a few years so wish me luck if I do end up with him for the night.
Talk to ya later,
Melissa
If you have to keep Braxton just give me a call. I will come get up with him at night... but only if we get to play for awhile... I hope everything is okay with your sister. I forgot you told me she had Crohns Disease. Bless her heart. She is super sweet. Tell her I am rooting for her.
Peps is not far. Its in Hattiesburg. Its 49N just past the bowling alley. If yall decide to come let me know and I will meet you. It has 2 water slides, paddle boat, canoes, etc.. We always have fun. We just let the kids run wild. We just take a cooler of drinks and sandwich stuff.
Did your folks get back from their cruise? What did they bring me??? I bet they had a ball.
I would love to come to six flags. We should plan on it. My friend wants to come too. She likes to ride rides. My husband wont ride anything. My daughter will ride everything... I am jealous of yall. You will be having all that fun without me.
I didn't end up having to keep little man. My sister decided to tough it out until she can get in to see her own GI doctor in Jackson next week. But I would have kept him. He is a good baby.
I have lived here since 1997 and never been to Peps Point. Didn't even know where it was. How sad is that. Well, sounds fun. Is it toddler friendly? You know Catherine being 3 I have to make sure there is stuff to keep her entertained.
My parents won't get back into Petal until tomorrow morning. They will be back in Gulfport tonight and just drive to their Wiggins house and stay there and come home to Petal Saturday morning to keep Braxton for us to go to Six Flags. We didn't want to drag him around in the heat all day. That would not be fun for him.
So your hubby doesn't ride either. Well that would work out good. They could walk around together and play the games and stuff while you, me, and the kids ride. Stephens rides it all. He loves it just like me. Your hubby and mine could have Catherine and hang out in kiddy land LOL.
Well, have a good holiday weekend. See you next week.
