PROGRESSION OF EVENTS
I called Becky at Liv Lite today to find out about the next progression of events so I would sort of know what to expect.
She said that Dr. King's office will schedule an initial appt. within the next two weeks most likely.
After that he schedules the endoscopy and the vena cava filter if it is necessary. Then after those results come in, if all are ok, they schedule the surgery.
I asked about blood work and she said, they do it a few days before surgery. I am sort of concerned as I would have thought they would be doing a battery of tests beforehand to make sure I am in good health for the surgery.
Am I worrying needlessly?
Sue
Your blood work will tell ALOT and if there is a problem with something, they will postpone surgery. Yes, you are worrying needlessly!!! Your Doc is an excellent one and he knows the best route for his patients. On me, they did a blood gases, EKG (I was a pfenn-fenn taker), Diabetes test, breathing study, sleep study (I snored big time), psycho workup and I went to nutrition. I think that's all. Not everybody has all the tests. It depends on the doc and the situation. Relax!!!! You will soon have a date!!!

Sue,
I wouldn't worry.
They typically put all of the
Tests pretty close together
To keep down on So many trips and
all of the individual "waits"
Between them.
Step back and -
Breath,...
Breath,...
Breath.......
It is hard to relax while waiting.
Your mind just goes into overdrive
Thinking about every Possible
Option and outcome of Everything.
Relax and find some things to treat yourself with.
Shopping?
Manicure?
Pedicure?
Massage?
Or-
if you're like me-
Go Fishing!
Hang in there!
Best Wishes-
Dx
