First check up!!!
Hello my MS family!
The drive wasn't bad at all believe it or not! I feel so much better. I had a lil pain on the way up there but none on the way back! So thats good for me! My dad had us leave at 5 am and we got there at almost 10 am. He finally listened to me and we took a short cut. By passed Memphis instead of going through it! Saved us 2 hours! I had to stop every 30 to 45 mins to walk. My mom loved it! She loves to walk. So she walked w/me. It feels like all is going better by the day! It means alot to me to have ppl that care and wanna know! Thanks you guys, now the update. LOL!
I just wanted to let everyone know how my first check up went! Everything went well. I'm off of clear liquids and now on full liquids for 4 weeks. So I add SF/FF pudding, FF/skim milk, and soupy potatoes to my diet. YES! I also add protein and vitamins, B-1 which I have to crush and they say its nasty, B-12 in a shot once a month which I start on the 13th of June, and Flintson Chewable w/Iron. I have to get between 70 and 90 grams of protein in a day! WOW! ALOT but I can do it w/Gods help! And 8 to 10, 8 ounce glasses of water. I can have fruit 2 O. So all is good! He said I have been doing great! My incisions have healed wonderfully. Not all the way but getting there. I can take regular showers and baths now. I can drive! YES! I can swim as soon as one of my incisions does a lil better. Wonderful news to me. I was just thrilled I can have milk. I love milk! But the best news of all....I lost 17 pounds!!!! YES!! Which means I now weigh 214 lbs. Which is awesome for 11 days! I was shocked I lost that much, my home scale is way off! LOL! Between 8 and 10 lbs off stupid battery is low gotta change it then maybe it will be right! My hubby is so proud of me, and so is my family. And I know you guys are!

Congratulations April!
Keep up the great work!
My home scales were always off from the one at
The office.
So I drug mine in with me to a Doctor's Visit
And stepped on mine right after theirs
(in the office)
And made the adjustments.
Peggy, the LPN in King and Byars' office,
Said she had others do the same thing.
At least that way I always know at home
What the scale at the Dr.'s office would be reading.
Keep us posted and get in all that Protein!
Best Wishes-
