Dawn - all of this is good advice. I agree with it whole heartedly. And for what it's worth, my good friend was a recovered bulemic, and she got the surgery with no problems. Psych did want to follow her a little bit to make sure she didn't slip back into any patterns, but it was really no big deal. On another note, I do think that bulemia can cause some problems in the "track", but I believe it is all esophogeal, and is not necessarily permanent, so you should be healed if there was any damage. What kind of scarring occurs, I don't know. I do know that both Anerexia (sp?) and bulemia can cause some heart problems, so I would think that anesthesia would want to know about it too. Honey, tell 'em the truth. Some of us know of a lady that passed away due to complications from her surgery and the rumor mill says that she did not tell the docs EVERYTHING about her medical history - namely she didn't tell all the meds she was on. So better safe than sorry and that would fall under the psycho area and if they approve you it'd be fine.... Let us know. Smoochies Arlies
