Tonight Melissa and I got some needed stuff done for our bash. We got all of the door prizes bought and wrapped with the help of her mother in law and her friend, Cindy. We also did all the kids goodie bags and have them ready to go! The prizes are so adorable and we cant wait til the bash. Melissa fed me some really good chicken chili.. it was so good and for dessert we had a SF cherry crescent roll thing that was so good I had to have seconds. We had a blast and are so excited that our bash is almost here. Its so exciting to think we are all going to get to spend some real time together and get to know one another even better than we do now. I hope everyone is as excited as we are. Its going to be wonderful!

You are excused if its because of surgery... not if you win the lottery. If you win the lottery you have to come and bring me my share of the winnings.

Barry, I will warn you now... That Crescent Roll Dessert is like Heaven. You will get addicted to it. I want some now. I am going to make some one day this week and take it to work. It is so good. The chicken chili is really good too but your gonna think you hit the jackpot when you sink your lips into the Dessert.

I can't stay out of my dining room. I just keep going in there looking at all of our pretty prizes. I am glad Cindy was over to help us. She did good on the wrapping. I am so excited. The back of my Armada will be full when I arrive at the picnic. I wish I could keep it all LOL. Chicken Chili 1 bag Tyson frozen diced chicken 2 cans great northern beans 1 can rotel 1 can mexicorn 1 packet McKormicks white chicken chili seasoning Put all of that in the crock pot and let it cook itself. When you serve it, crush up some lite tortilla chips in bottom of your bowl. Put some chili on top of the chips and top with sour cream and cheese. Crescent Roll Dessert 2 cans crescent rolls 8 oz lite cream cheese softened 1 cup splenda 1 can no sugar added cherry pie filling 1 stick butter melted Take a casserole dish and spray with Pam. Press 1 can of the crescent rolls down and cover the bottom and go up sides. Mix the cream cheese with the splenda until creamy. Spread that mixture over the crescent rolls. Then spread the cherry pie filling over that. Take the other can of crescent rolls and press out all seams making one big top crust. Place that on top. Pour the melted butter over the top crust. Place in a 350 degree preheated oven and bake 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown. Then enjoy. Christine, that was so funny when my sister dropped by and half the dessert was gone and she said hey who ate all of that. I know it wasn't you two. We had to explain that others had dropped by and shared the dessert. That no us two gastric bypass girls did not polish off an entire dish of cherry dessert LOL. Well you have met my family and now you know all of my secrets. Still want to be my friend? LOL. So we are a little crazy. That's okay, right? Well anyway, I am bringing that dessert to the bash. So we will get to eat it again soon. Melissa Taylor Lap Rny 1/15/04 277 to 136 -141 pounds 5'4" tall; 31 yrs old lost the weight by Thanksgiving 2004 Maintaining for 6 months

Melissa, I had the bestest time meeting your family. I felt so comfortable around them and felt like I had known them forever. Your sister is a hoot! I loved hearing the stories. I am rethinking our friendship though! Just kidding... Your too much fun. I hope your parents have a good time on their cruise. I am jealous. Maybe one year we could have a MS WLS Cruise. I have been wanting to go on a cruise for a long time now. Cant seem to work it out though! Catherine is too precious. She is so smart and she loves her momma! If everyone only knew how non organized we are... You are more organized than me --YALL SHE HAS A PICNIC FOLDER....haha... This bash is going to come off without any problems though. I think our scatter brainedness is going to pay off anyway... We got some great gifts... some are very original and folks will be thinking... What in the world is sticking out of that bag... I hope that isnt my number... haha... I will definatly be cooking that chili and that crescent roll Dessert. My family will love it and its so much better for them than their normal desserts. I wont even tell them its splenda. Its been a great weekend... Talk to you 2morrow!! Christine -104 (162)
