Be sure to measure yourself
I know that sometimes our scales seem to stay stuck for a week or two. But you should measure yourself every two weeks or so. I have been doing that and I am amazed now at the amount of inches I have already lost. That is where I see the BIG difference. Tuesday was my 12 wk mark and we measured my neck, my upper arm, my hips (all the way around), one upper thigh, my stomach, and my buttocks. Here are the results:
Starting measurements 2/28/05 Measurements as of 3/18/05
Neck - 17 / Neck - 14 = -3.0
Upper Arm - 17 / Upper Arm - 14.5 = -2.5
Chest - 48 / Chest - 42.5 = -5.5
Hips - 54 / Hips - 43 = -11.0
Thigh - 31 / Thigh - 26.5 = -4.5
Stomach - 47 / Stomach - 43.5 = -3.5
Buttocks - 52 / Buttocks - 45 = -7.0
That is a grand total of 37 inches!! WHOA!!!!
11 inches lost just in my hips.. That is totally amazing!!
That is sure one way to keep yourself motivated!

Before surgery the only thing we measured was my stomach. I wish I would have measured more parts of my body!
Too late now! But it is a ver good idea.
I think you are doing so good. The pictures you sent were amazing and you look so pretty and so happy!

I measured everything before surgery and now I measure
once a month. I am so glad I did. There are times it seems
like I'm not loosing many pounds but I am still loosing inches
and to me that is very important. I too just measured one
arm,leg, wrist, ankle. I wish I had thought about measuring both
but I just double the loss because they are real close to the same
size here are my totals.

If my subtraction is right that is like 73inches gone forever. It is so amazing to see those numbers. I probably measure stuff I shouldn't
but I just like keeping up with it. It has really been what keeps me
motivated.

hey Rhonda, Once again you just made me sick , just kiddin so happy for you, and for me too I' ll be there soon! Went yesterday and had that biopsy, OUCH!! IT HURTS today! DR Lo (or dr lousious, as i'm now going to call him ) said he wanted to get the rest taken care of soon, so maybe i want have a long wait. I'm so excited, Donnie (my husband) thinks i'm too excited, wonder why? I may need to find a new dr. that's not so cute! anyway have a good day/weekend skinny butt, -dawn-
