SCHOOLS OUT FOR THE SUMMER!!!!!!!
Today is the last day of school for my Em!!!! I am so excited. She is exempt in all classes - a 96 on her report card is a LOW grade! So this ends it for the 7th grade! We gonna fish, and play, and fish and play and fish and play all summer!! I love when my kiddos are home!!! I hope you guys enjoy your children as much as I do mine! They are a special, special treat!!!

Mine will get out the 25th!!! I'm counting down the days. I'm SO tired of getting up at 5:30 in the morning to get him on the bus by 6:15!!! I home schooled for 2 years, and boy do I miss it! LOL I'll have 2 in school next year. I hate it - hate the homework - hate the bus - hate that someone else will spend more time with my children than I do. I just hate everything about it. LOL Oh well - waddya do? Enjoy playing - this will be such a wonderful summer for you because I'm sure you have SO much more energy now! Watch out Em - Mama's gonnna run you ragged!

Woohoo... I am not as thrilled about it as you all are. I have to pay full price for child care now.. Haha...
She is happy though that school is almost over. 2morrow is her last day. She has asked her teacher twice already if she was going to 3rd grade and her teacher told her "So Far"... haha... She is an A and B student -she just likes to give the kids a hard time.
We dont have much planned for this summer. She made the play and we get to start rehearsals in June. We are going to Dauphin Island for 4 days and then we start rehearsing the day we get back. After the play in July - she is going to Girl Scout camp for a week in Meridian. I am nervous but excited at the same time. Its her first real trip away from me with people I dont really know.
Luckily, she is best friends with a girl whose grandparents own Peps Poin****er park. Maybe this year I will have more fun and not wore out by the time I have walked up the hill to the slides. Maybe I wont be like a torpedo coming down the slides... haha...
Last weekend I scanned all the pictures I had of Emily and put them on my computer. I have asked all my relatives to send me pictures of her that they have and am putting her together a DVD. Her 9th Birthday is this year and I figured I would put the past years on a DVD and play music behind them.
Wow we havent moved yet but school here in Maine doesnt get out till 21 JUNE that is because of so much snow this year we got over 100 inches. My son's last day is the 27th of May he completed all of his work for June on spring break. I cant wait to get to MS. We leave on the 28th. Look forward to talking to you Arlies when we get there I will give my phone number. Enjoy your summer ladies!
I will be out on the 24th of June, Lol the teachers like myself are as anxious as the kids! I have to do the graduation decorations for the stage and the auditorium and that is my last duty. Then, onto the plane at midnite to head for Miss! Cannot wait. Got the letters for the surgery and test list, so now I have only one thing on my mind. My date with the doctor and hospital! LOL! All of you have a great time over the summer!
Amy?
Hi there, don't think I have seen your name here on the board yet?? ( I could be just a bit behind too, it's so totally like me to miss half of the posts on the board sometimes when I get all wrapped up in work )
What brings you to Mississippi? Maine ? Thats like way up there. Are you from MS or ME or is it a military thing? I hope I'm not too nosy here, just wondering, as you can see it's 3 am and I'm wide awake and came across your post and thought to myself " Who's this new name?"
Wow, snow? Our kids here didn't have to stay any extra despite the hurricane evacuations and all last year. Got one in PreK who's "graduating" Monday and two in elementary/highschool who get out next Thursday. Where has the year gone? OMG!!
Hope you have a good trip / move and I'm sorry for being so nosey
