I found it now though. And I'm glad I did. I just wanted to say HEY to everyone! Who is the picnic in Hattiesburg for? Is it just for people who have had the surgery or what?? Hello and welcome to the MS Board family. The picnic is for everyone on our MS Board who wants to come. We hope you will join us for the fun. It will be a great place to get first hand info from people who have had surgery. Plus we will all be meeting and getting to know one another in person and hopefully that will strengthen what we have here on the board. The picnic is June 5 at 11:00 at Kamper Park Pavilion in Hattiesburg. Just bring your family and a covered dish and any drinks you and your family will need for the day. We will have food, fellowship, and we have some door prizes for fun. There is plenty for children to do as well. We are going to have some little goodie bags for them too. Hope to see you there. Hi Karine, Glad you came back to the board, just hang in there, who knows, things could change? I sneakpeaked at your profile, just wondering if you have tried to contact vocational rehab at all to discuss if they could help you with surgery? I know blue cross is being impossible to deal with, I have several people I work with who have it and they are getting nowhere. Don't give up. Have faith ! Anyways, the picnic is for everyone on the board, preops and postops. I can't attend because of prior engagements but would love to. I have to add this.. ... on the fact that I am pretty ignorant sometimes, I mean, I know that you tried voc. rehab before, but it looks like that was back in 2002? Maybe they have made changes????? Its worth a shot to try again maybe? OR >>> thought about finding out how much it would cost to get it done self-pay and possibly financing it? I know it's a longshot, but I know if my insurance would not have covered it, I think I would have second-mortgaged my house to get it done. ~Andie~

Karine, Hi girlie, I am in Pearl/brandon!! So your pratically my neighbor!!! I had my surgery at UMC on the 2nd of this month. I went thru the patient financial services at UMC and used voc rehab. Try again hun they are changing things all the time. sometimes the rules change from month to month so you just gotta keep checking. If you ever wanna talk just email me and ill send ya my numbers or you can send me your, doesnt matter. I am going to the picnic in june (lord willing).
