Recovery Time...
I'd like to know what your experience was for a "normal" recovery time. DX - you don't count bub! LOL
I'm doing calculations and trying to decide about being able to "do" vacation bible school, if all I have to do is sit there in a chair and hold posters and get my husband to do all of the "crowd control" etc. I've tried and tried to get the surgery early enough to not have to worry too much about it, but looks like it'll probably be in June closer to mid-june, if everything else falls in line correctly. VBS is on June 20th for a few hours every night that week. I've already moved my personal date goal to the 10th of June. Do you think I'm being reasonable, excluding any complications that might occurr?
My next option is to wait until late August or September(yuk)
Any and all input is appreciated!

Are you having your surgery done laproscopically or open? I had mine done lap and I went into the office 1 week after surgery and did payroll. So I worked about 3.5 hours that day. That was on a Thursday. I then went in on Monday and closed out payroll and worked about 3 or 4 hours.
I went back to work daily after 2 weeks. I only worked about 5 or 6 hours for the first two weeks back due to lack of energy. Pain was not a problem. I was just weak and couldn't hold out for extended periods. For the first month I had to get a nap in the afternoons. You're body is adjusting to the drop in calories during that time so you are just tired.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even if you have lap, I wouldn't recommend being caged with a bunch of wild VBS kiddos that soon!!!!! Mostly you will be very tired that soon after surgery and worried sick about how you can cram all that liquid and protein in......So my thought is DON'T!!! Let DH tame the wild critters while you rest at home in his easy chair!!!
