Oxford Weight Loss Clinic
Hey Sue,
I used Dr King and I had to have a EGD, bloodwork, chest xray, ekg and a urinalysis. They sent me to a clinic where liv-lite is and I had it all done at one time. I wasn't there but like 30 minutes. It was great the people were really nice too. I had the Egd done at the hospital Dr King does it hisself. If you have a filter you will have it the same day as the Egd. The rest is done like a week before surgery. I really hope everything works out with your ins. It's a shame they put you through so much when in the long run it will save them money because you will be so much healthier. Let us know as soon as you find out something.

Hey Sue,
Both King and Byars err on the side of Caution,
(Particularly in the "Aftercare.")
This probably accounts for their High Success rate-
(Way above national average)
I'm the "fly in that ointment," and still my outcome has been
Successful. I throw off Byars' statistics from being SUPER Great!
As to the Pre-Op stuff,
Here's my "recollection" -
EGD, EKG, bloodwork, chest xray, and a urinalysis.
Liv-Lite also had me do a Sleep study, and Psych Evaluation,
But those were for insurance purposes not for the Dr.
Byars had planned to put in a Vena Cava Filter as well,
But changed his mind after my bloodwork.
I'm at Extreme LOW-Risk for Blood Clots.
Becky Wilson will probably set up the schedule for all of your
Testing to be done around the same couple of dates so as to
Avoid multiple trips to Oxford.
She is Great!
I don't know how people get through all of the Pre-Op
Tests and Insurance Hoops without a "Becky!"
Keep us posted!
Best Wishes-
Dx
