A Thought....

Why dont we have a weekly weigh in? We can do it as Monday-Sunday and post Sunday night how much weight we lost in that week. It might help motivate some of us (me).... I have not really lost any weight in a few weeks and I need to see everyone else losing to make me jealous. Everyone go weigh and and then Sunday night IF YALL WANT we will have a weekly weight lost post. It wont be for comparison because we are all different in date ranges but it would be nice to see where everyone is. We could do Mos out from Surgery/Surgery Date Weight/Current Weight/Goal Weight and then total pounds gone... And then maybe post our worst food eaten for the week so we can get our hands slapped! Example: Oct 2004/266/166/154 = 100 / Krystal Burger(s) We could also tally up at the end of the postings (like the following Tuesday) and see how much total weight has been lost since SURGERY and also a weekly total pounds gone for us as a group! I think it would be easier to do surgery date weight rather than highest...doesnt matter though I guess. What do yall think??

Rhonda, I cannot believe you have lost 53 pounds already! Seems like it is literally falling off. Sometimes at night I can tell its melting away.. Sounds silly I know but I wake up alot and then the next morning the scale is a couple pounds lower. I may be crazy but thats my thoughts on it. Your taco bell taco salad isnt that bad...Did you eat the shell though? Or just the insides?? You do not have to donate money to the prizes. We are going to try and get everything. If you want you can bring a door prize though to the bash.. We are gonna have a raffle and draw numbers too. Dont get something too expensive though... $5.00 or less is fine. Its just for fun! I am excited about meeting you!

Hey Christine, I did eat some of the shell. I guess that is the bad part? It doesn't seem like it would be bad for you though. Today I had Japanese with some co-workers, and it did not like me at all. I only ate a few bites but it came right back up. YUCK!! I will think of something to pick up for a door prize. Maybe something fun for summer time. I know what you mean about feeling it melt away, sometimes I feel that way too. My stomach rumbles a lot after I go to bed and I feel like it is something working to make me skinny.. When will I be able to start lifting weights and stuff to firm up my arms, I feel like I am getting wings now that I have been losing. Can't wait til June 5... Rhonda

No, girl.. cant be any worse than some of the stuff I have had. Remember I am the one who had a piece of link sausage 7 days post op. My wings are here too. I try not to let them bother me. They do sometimes though. If I notice someone looking at them I poke fun at myself before they can!! Haha... My doctor didnt release me to start doing that heavy lifting (5 pounds or more) for 12 weeks then was released except legs pushes cause it would strain my stomach. At my 6 month I was okayed for everything. You had it lap and mine was open so it may be different for you.

December '03- Skin Graft covering of Fully Open Abdomen area. December '04- Abdominal Reconstruction (Finished Closing me Up) 06/2003 385/ 182.5 / 2.5 lbs below goal! = 202.5 / Pad Thai Noodles! (but not many, I Swear!!!!) A little boring for me now. My Scale hasn't moved for the last 4 months, But that's where I'm "supposed" to be. Best Wishes- Dx

Dex, You have had enough surgeries to make anyones memory a little blurry... I talked to a guy today from our support group who just got his date today. I called to see if he wanted a shirt. I mentioned to him about this site. He is very nervous and excited. I bet he is probably 385 or so.. Would probably love to talk to you. Maybe he will come. I told him the guys seem to lose so much faster than us gals. 202.5 POUNDS! Seems so weird to say that, doesnt it? I havent any clue what Pad Thai Noodles are but they sound spicy and very swelling... haha... At least you are below goal. I will be okay if mine stops and I am below goal but I am not quite there yet and its frustrating. I gotta get my water and stuff in. Everyone is doing so good!
