I just wanted to drop in and let yall know that I am still doing good, and that i have my apt with Dr. S on Tuesday to see about getting my drain out and hopefully getting moved to puree'd food. But as for right now I am doing really good and have been sipping on some really wonderful liquid off of a pot of white lima beans cooked with a honey-ham bone.(i checked with my nutritionist and she said that it would be fine to just take it slow) I can introduce 1 new food a day she said so I am a happy camper tonight...my pouch LOVES that pot liquer!!! The only thing I have found that my pouch doesnt like is apple juice(it comes right back up). I havent had to use any pain meds since wed night. And the saying is true so far that Tomorrow will be better! I am excited to go to see Dr. S this comming Tuesday to see how much i have lost and to get this darn drain out (it is very aggrivating). Well im gonna go for now and I will keep yall updated on my progress! IM A LOSER!!!! IM A LOSER!!!! LOVE YALL! Angie Bea

Hey Angie ! Gosh I am so glad you're doing so well. Some people just have an aweful time, and I know I've been very blessed to have had a very easy recovery. Just be really careful what you try to get down. Those first few weeks are tricky and just trust us posties when we say, in six months, nine months you probably won't even remember you ever had surgery I'm so proud of you for taking good care of yourself, just remember, that bean pot liquor can give you aweful gas. ( just warning ya LOL ) Keep following those rules and don't let it get to you when you don't lose as much as you thought you would every now and then. The bottom line, one day and one pound at a time, is what counts in the end. You have this tool now. It's up to you how to use it and I'm convinced you'll do just fine Have a Great Day, Let us know how you're doing and God Bless Love ya! ~Andie~

You are doing so well. I am glad that lima bean broth is good to you. My mother made me clam chowder and I ate the soupy part for days. It was so good. You truly shocked me at how well you sounded when I talked to you. I am jealous of you! Take care and we cant wait to hear how much you have lost. I bet it felt so good to be home and see that lil Austin... And I bet he was so happy to have his momma home. Take care! Christine

im sorry it has taken so long to get back to yall. Tammy, thanks so much your a sweetheart! and your turn will be here before you know it and you will be a big loser too!!! I cant wait to see how much i have lost. I was 486 at my heaviest and 460 (-26lbs) before surgery, sooo i am looking forward to adding more numbers to that 26! Jan, yeah I have been majorly blessed to not have had to use pain meds, however I do have them if I should need them. I was able to get a wonderful shower today and wash my hair!!! It felt soooooo gooooooodddddd!!!! lol Nan, yeah girl there was some cornbread but that is a for me now. oh and believe you, me I am getting my share of the pot lickker girl!! i had mom take the ham outta the leftover beans and juice and put them in the food processor and turn it into liquid and that is supper!! Joyce, dont give up! your day will come, and you will be a loser too!! Andie, Thanks hun, yeah I was kinda worried about the bean juice giving me gas, so i just drank a little bit yesterday to test it like my nutritionist told me to and it didnt bother me at all, so i put the juice and beans in the processor and having it for supper tonight. Also I am very cautious about what I try, the beans is the only new thing i have had for the week, im not rushing anything!! so far i have had no nauseua or . I know there will be plateaus and that they will pass., thanks for the helpfull advice. Christine, yeah girl that broth is yummmmmyyyyy!! and I missed my baby sooo much lol but he didnt really know i was gone, he had his aunt shella here to keep him busy. But I surely missed him a bunch!! Im really not gonna know what to do in 2 weeks when he goes to tenn. with his other grandma for a week....i am sooo glad i was able to have my surgery lap because I could not imagine having to have it open, I really have to hand it to ya for going thru it open!!!! all of yalll having it open. Thanks to EVERYONE that has supported me thru the first part of my journey!!! I love you all!!!! Love Yall!!!!! Angie Bea
