With Dr. King, the day before surgery you will do a cleansing diet. I could only have Diet Sprite to drink and then around 2 o'clock I did have a bottle of something. Can't remember the name. Then at 6, I did the other half along with 4 Dulcolax and 3 antibiotics. Let me tell you, this day is worse than any surgery I had or have ever had. I didn't think I would stop vomiting long enough to be able to drive to Oxford. It was horrible. I did have a drain tube after surgery but mine was a revision. I don't know if you will have to have it or not. Yes, I wore a binder for about 6 weeks. You won't mind wearing it. It makes everything feel tucked in. Like I said, the pre-day is so much worse than the surgery. So survive that and you will do wonderfully!!! Kitsy

Hi April, I don't know. I'm going to a support group at the Hospital tonight So I'll ask. He was there at last months. If nothing else there will be a number of his Post-Op patients that I can ask. I'm betting Yes!- On the Binder though, And the Drain Tube. We'll see! 10 more days! Best Wishes- Dx

Hey April, I was on clear liquids the day before surgery you can have jello, sprite, apple juice, and popsicles. Then you have to drink some yucky stuff and take laxatives, and antibiotics. I had mine laproscopic and I did not have a drain tube, but I need have a binder. Good luck with your surgery you a pretty girl and I think you have made a great decision. I wish I would have been brave enough to have mine at that age. If you have any more questions feel free to ask. Best of luck Becky
