Ideas needed for Door Prizes
Hey yall..
Melissa and I are still talking about this bash. We do whenever we get a chance. We have been thinking about ideas for door prizes like:
Who drove the farthest
Furthest one out
Newest one out
Most Weight Lost
Etc...
Anyone got any other ideas? We think its going to be so much fun. All ideas are appreciated and welcomed.
Maybe we could even play dirty santa or something like that...... We could rename it... Everyone bring a $5.00 or less gift and we can play. Wrap them and we can number them. Or would that be too much trouble? Also, Ideas for the kids... They all need some sort of treats... What do you all suggest. Bubbles, coloring books, sidewalk chalk?? IDEAS.. COME ON!
We sure do hope everyone can come. We probably need to get a list going when it gets closer to see who is bringing what to eat to make sure we have enough desserts/entrees... etc... I am gonna try to make sugar free frapucchinos... However you spell it.
Cant wait to see everyone.. The closer it gets the more excited I get. Its so close yet so far away!!
See you all soon!
Christine
Okay this is off topic from the bash, but I just saw on the main board where a support group somewhere is having a fashion show. We talked about doing that with our support group. So we are not the only ones who thought that would be fun.
With everyone bringing their families, the dirty Santa idea may be too much but here is an idea that I saw another group did at their bash.
They had the typical prizes for who drove farthest to come, most lost, farthest out, newest out, etc, but then they had several other gifts and they had everyone put their name in the basket minus the ones who got prizes already and drew names for several other prizes. That could work.
Like you said we need a general idea who is coming and what they are bringing so we make sure to have an assortment of food available.
Anyway we will get together and do some planning. And it will come together nicely.

I like the idea of the drawing. I'll bring something for it.
Foodwise everyone could bring enough for their family. Is there a grill that could be used to grill
hot dogs?
I will be alone since I'm not married and don't have kids.
Count on me for something like LF chicken salad and a case of water. And something else!!I promise to bring something to share. I am a feeder-- I always enjoy taking foods to covered dish meals for others to eat. Fruit-- yes I can bring a fruit dish.
Oh I want to start cooking now!!

I love to cook for people too. I am planning on bringing some good stuff. One thing I am bringing is a sugar free cherry crescent roll dessert. I tried it out on my family and i have had to make it twice. They love it. I will bring a main dish too. I am ready for this picnic. I think the drawing of names for some prizes will be good too. Maybe some goody bags for the children.
Melissa
Hey Glenda...
I am sure we can get a grill if they dont provide one. We could bring some hot dogs in a crock pot and let them stay warm unless everyone prefers them grilled. Doesnt matter to me. I dont do to well with hotdogs anymore but my kids loves them.
Fruit sounds so good. I love fruit. Plus it will be a hot day and we will all need the refreshness of fruit.
You wont be alone either cause we will be there. You know you are more than welcome to bring your mother. I know how close you are.
Chicken salad sounds really good. We will do a menu post about a week before the event... Woohoo.. Cant wait!
My dear friend is into pampered chef. They have cute gadgets and such. i could contribute 2 thinkgs to the group. I will mail it to you before that day so you can have it all together. I am doing so good. I am haivng a blast wearing my moms clothes. They are 3x and 26. I was a 30 dress on April 4th. Amazing.
I am thrilled about ANgie.
Talk more later.
