I had the flu in December 2003 before my surgery in January 2004. I was stressing big time. I took all the medicine but still had a lingering cough that wouldn't go away. They did another chest X-ray to be on the safe side. My chest was clear and no fever so they did my surgery. But I know how you feel. You just don't want anything to stop the surgery you have worked so hard and waited to have. Just try to relax. Your doctor doesn't seem concerned. Just trust him and go with the flow. Everything works out as God sees fit. I will keep you in my prayers that you will not get sick and that you can relax and that your surgery will go off without a hitch.
Lots of hugs coming to you,

Hey Cutie~Pa~Tutie !!!
I wish I had something to say to calm you down. But I have no idea of what to say.
Just keep in mind, that God does & may throw up a road blocks for a great reason that we do see at first. Things will work out to his will. Not ours. I know that may not be what you want to hear right now. But it should be a calming thought. God is watching over you !!!

Breathe, girl, Breathe! It's gonna be okay! We don't want the old BP up too! I don't know how it will work out, but it WILL work out the best way possible. God'll see to it. Just relax and stay calm and call me THE INSTANT you hear from Joyce! (I have to take Jim to get his port out, so my cell phone will be off from about 9 until noon, but don't give up on me!)
Smoochies & relaxing hugs

You have to have faith in GOD and your doctor...just remember that God does not close a door without opening a window...and your doctor is not going to put you at unnecessary risk. Keep taking whatever meds you are supposed to and show up for your surgery Monday. Wish I could be there to see you off, but I will be at work. You will be in my prayers and thoughts though....
