Hey everybody! I know I haven't posted in a long time, but I need to ask for your prayers for a dear friend of mine and her family. Angie Davis, 32, died at Anderson's hospital Thursday, April 14th @ about 3 a.m. Angie got to be a good friend of mine this past summer. She was the secretary at a school that I worked at and we always shared our joys and anxiousness about our upcoming surgeries. She was the person to initially tell me about Voc Rehab last Spring when I started my journey. She was also one of my best supporters both before and after surgery. She had her surgery 3 weeks before mine at the end of August with Dr. Blake at UMC. She started having stomach problems about a month ago and it was discovered that she had developed gall stones. She went into the hospital about 2 weeks ago for gall bladder surgery and had her gall bladder removed. She went home, but continued to have pain. Approximately a week and a half ago she was placed ICU. She was on a ventilator b/c her lungs collapsed and I believe she was septic. She was responsive on Tuesday and would squeeze family member's hands and blink at them. On Wednesday night she developed fluid on her brain and it went downhill from there. Her heart stopped at about 3 a.m. this morning. Please remember Angie and her family during this time. She was a wonderfully cheerful person who had the gift from God as being an encourager to those around her. She had a great husband, two great children, and i believe a new grandchild. Thanks everybody! God Bless! Kristi

Kristi, That is awful news and it really scares me. I am so sorry for her families loss. She was so young. I truly from the bottom of my heart hate to hear this and the fact that she was 8-9 mos post op really tears me apart. I am so sorry....

Kristi my prayers are truly with you and your friend family. I remember you asking for support for her. I am like Christine this really scares me with her being about 8 mos. out and going down so fast after gall stone surgery. This is really a reality check for pre-ops on our journey but we have to be hopeful and encouraged with our survivors. We have to know and believe that God has given our Doctors a talent and a powerful gift to extend life. Yes, sometimes he calls some home to glory because we know he only choose the best. Take Care Luv & ((((((HUG))))))) to you and her family.
