Mississippi Bash, anyone?

Guess what? Christine and I are planning a Mississippi WLS Bash. We think we need some fun. We have rented the Pavilion at Kamper Park in Hattiesburg for June 5th. We are still planning out all of the details with Denise, Elesha, and Robin's help. So when we get it all ironed out and all the details arranged we will do another post. But we wanted everyone to go ahead and mark that date down in their calendars because we want everybody to come and play with us. We are planning for it to be a covered dish sort of thing where everyone brings their favorite recipe to share so we can all get some recipe ideas. Everyone will just bring a dish and whatever they want to drink (no alcohol aloud, sorry, park rules LOL). We are going to have some little prizes like for most weight lost, who drove the farthest and so on and maybe some prizes for the kids that come along. THere is a really nice playground right next to the pavilion. And of course, the zoo is there too. So bring your family along if you want to. This is just a few ideas we are planning. But like I said as soon as we get it all together we will post all of the details. So hang tight and watch for the post. Smiles, Melissa Taylor

I love this family gathering idea. I am interested in the spouses and children's take on our weight loss. I wonder if the spouses need as much support as us WLSers? It should be fun! Let's be sure and bring before and after pictures too. Elesha

I think my husband and kids will be excited to come to the bash. They will enjoy meeting all the people I talk about all of the time. My husband would probably say he really did need some support when I was a few months out going on my hormonal imbalance roller coaster ride and was dragging him along LOL. Thank goodness that is over. We definitely need to bring before pictures and a calculator to tally the total pounds lost there. I am excited about it. Can't wait to be right in the middle of planning everything. It will be fun. Melissa

I am extremely excited about this.. It will be so much fun! We have been talking about this for awhile and its been so beautiful lately... I think my husband would love to come too... He isnt quite sure how to handle the new me too so maybe him talking to other spouses will do him good. We know its a long way to travel for some but we could plan this more than just this once and we can make it in different places in the state for the convienience of others. I think it will be barrells of fun for us and our families...
