Special People
Hi everyone,
Just came back from the UMC Support meeting. I met Jan Brown, ArliesQ & Angie B who are 3 very special ladies.
I felt like I had known them both for years. I am very happy to have stumbled upon this website and all the great people who are here and all the good advice found.
Not to get sappy... but that was one thing I was afraid of with this surgery. A support group. I am not married, my 2 daughters are grown with their own lives. One has a new baby and lives out of town and the other... well let's just say we haven't spoken in over a year. You know how their are when they "think they are grown"...
I live alone, and don't have any friends around. All of the people I work with are just work associates, so I was and still am scared about the "after" period until I feel well enough to help myself. But meeting all of you here is like a new family for me and gives me the strength and courage to do this.
Thanks so much for welcoming me in.
Sue
Sue, you are so sweet. It was wonderful to meet you and have you join our little family. Now, about you being alone. I am divorced and live by myself, so I know how you feel. We will just help each other. I live in Brookhaven and come through Byram everytime I come to Jackson. If I can, I will be glad to help you with the "after" period. I am disabled and retired, so I can help you. Hope you have a good week. Smiles, Jan
