OT weather - hows everyone?

Hey Guys and Girls, just sitting here, killing my lunch break and wondering how everyone is doing with this crazy weather? I heard of Tornadoes today around Jackson, we had one here in our area as well, not far from where I work in Ocean Springs and it was headed towards Vancleave and Escawtapa, how exciting If you have friends/ family there, check on 'em ~Andie~

Made for a very interesting day didn't it! WOW! I got emails from all over the place. The whole state made national news! LOL They joys of living in the southern tornado alley! We are good in Madison - the city. The county got a warning today and maybe a little damage, but my city is just fine. Never even sounded an alarm. The wind was gusty enough to make me a little nervous though! I love weather watching, so I enjoyed today! HUGS Kimberly

hey andie!! we got blasted!!!! i know there were 4 or 5 tornados pass with in 1 mile or so of my house. The wind even moved my shed a little... when i got up at 7:30 this morning and walked out on the porch to see what my hubby was looking at i saw the rotating base of a funnel cloud starting...it was absolutely beautiful to watch but it nearly scared the pee outta me...so as soon as it has gotten past us good, since we live in a trailer, i gathered up my stuff and austin and got the you know what outta dodge. I went to my friends house down the street, and stayed there all day while it was all going on...and she has 2 kids austins age so that kept the kids out of our hair for the biggest part....but were all fine here just some flooding in the community where we are at but a trailer park about a mile or 2 away was completely demolished. It was rough!!! Poor Em and the kids at Newton County and surrounding schools spent most of the day sitting in the halls for safety! They even mentioned Conehatta on the Meridian and Jackson news!!!! WOW!!!!! Now we are famous! Just lots and lots of thunders, rains, lightening and trees and power lines down here. I kept the scanner on and it was constantly giving bulletins and sightings of tornados. I LOVE weather!!! Smoochies Arlies

Hi Kim, Hi Angie, Hi Arlies ! OmG it was just one of THOSE days huh? I know what you're going through, Angie, I was here at work, when they said we're under a warning and then someone informed us that we had this tornado about half a mile from us headed northeast ( meaning headed toward us *yikes* ) Oh yeah, I was about to just crawl under my desk, I 'm one of those chickens who will run away from a hurricane at the drop of a hat, and it scared the daylights out of me. It was so dark outside, at noon, like it was night time. Scary stuff!! I only had one other experience back in Louisiana with a funnel cloud, and I'd rather be far far away from it !!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad everyone's okay, though. Thank goodness. I also had calls and emails from all over the country checking on us, I guess Mississippi REALLY made the news yesterday nationwide Please stay safe and y'all have a great day! ~Andie~
